Someone catch me up here. Has any if the attendees published their version of the minutes from Fridays meeting or do we only have the clubs?

Also, that vote of no confidence is significant. Huge news.

The only way to hurt these * is through financial means. Money is their *. Starve the income. Give them nothing. We need a modern forward thinking board who value the lifeblood of the club, the fans. Not dinosaurs who treat the fans with utter contempt.

I think the vote of no confidence is bigger than some realise.

Correct me if im wrong, but I believe this is the first time the CSA has voted in no confidence against the board, alongside the backlash to the statement they released, they'll be feeling the pressure big time.

What can they actually do of substance though? Not much as far as I'm aware.

It is pretty massive that the CSA have voted this way. They have consistently remained on the fence when it comes to criticising the board. It may or not make the difference, but one things for sure, Nicholson et al will take notice of it.

The board could just ignore it in theory, its not something they have to respond to, but considering they've essentially had the CSA on their side for years, its another thing going against them.

Think that the CSA going against The Board will make them realise that this problem is not going away anytime soon no matter how much they hope it will die down, if the team go on a great winning run it may die down a little bit but not by much as they hope it will, supporters have had enough.

Leaving everything else aside, Rodgers only has about 9 months of his contract left. Its a ridiculous angle to take that he is going to spend his last summer transfer window trying to get a 9 month pay off rather than trying to improve things. Just another dumb thing in a list of dumb moves from the board.

Only ones I've seen there. Earlier version apparently went about which had individual comments and notes of those present but since been redacted.

    Michael Gannon in the record

    And quotes from Charlie Mulgrew

Brendan Rodgers has been backed to rise above the self-inflicted Celtic civil war and have the Hoops fired up for the rest of the season.

The Parkhead boss has been caught in the crossfire amid supporters transfer window rage and the club’s board telling punters they won’t change their strategy.

Record Sport understands there are some officials at the club who believe Rodgers has painted a bullseye on their backs with his increasing summer calls for more ambition in the transfer market.

And the blue touch paper was lit late on Saturday night with an epic 1000-word nameless statement defending the signing policy while placing the blame for a lacklustre window on UEFA sustainability rules, media speculation and selling clubs and players moving the goalposts.

The release has only further riled up the support, with the Celtic Supporters' Association launching a vote of no confidence in the board this evening.

It's left Rodgers – who is out of contract at the end of term – to pick up the pieces for this Sunday’s Premiership trip to Kilmarnock.

Ex-Celt Charlie Mulgrew is convinced the Irishman has the experience to plot a path through the mayhem and continue to produce performances.

He said: “Brendan is a professional guy. He’s been a top manager operating at the top level for years now so he’ll get his head down now and coach the players that are there, you’d imagine.

“And make sure they understand the plan and what’s needed in the final year of his contract.

Regardless of what the plan is for him, he needs to put his best foot forward and make sure of that and I’m sure he would do that anyway.

“That’s the way he is. That’s what he’s done for Celtic over the years. I expect them to go on a run and improve in the final third on the park.”

Under-fire Celtic chiefs claimed the club couldn’t push the boat out for signings due to UEFA rules – and even the £80m in the bank is untouchable.

But fans point to massive profits and rivals Rangers spending more than £20m despite making losses in recent seasons.

Celts will resume league duties with a six point lead over the Ibrox side but Mulgrew is convinced the next few weeks will make or break the season.

He said: “I think the next 10 games will be massive for both clubs. We’ll see where both Celtic and Rangers are after that. It’s clear and everybody knows Celtic’s final third stuff’s not been good enough. So a couple of extra signings and I’m sure they’ll be working on it. We’ll see where they are then.

They’ve still won games this year. The Rangers game was disappointing but they’ve still not conceded a goal in the league.

“So they’re defensively good, looking at the positives. But I’m aware that the final third is where they need to do better in terms of dynamic play in the final third, having that bit more creativity.”

Celtic fans have revolted on the back of the failure to tool up ahead of the dismal Champions League exit and the chaos around incomings and outgoings in the final days of the window.

But Mulgrew said: “The Champions League’s done. We’ve done our moaning about it, me included. So, move on. It’s the Europa League now.

“Everybody wanted each other to be in the Champions League. They never got there for certain reasons.

So let’s go now with the Europa and let’s see how good we can do in that and domestically take care of those games as well. It’s a reasonable draw in the Europa League.

“They’re all hard games, these games, when you go away in Europe and home in Europe it’s difficult but looking at it’s a decent enough draw.”

it says one targeted signing postponed till January due to injury so we must have been looking at someone who got injured.
