On this point, I’ve made zero claims about the size of the club so ditch the strawman, cheers.

Any rational analysis of the two matches against Kairat will show we were the dominant side, despite us underperforming. You don’t need to be winning a match 5-0 to be the dominant side.

Would love to hear Dom McKay on this Celtic board. Honestly hope he gives an interview on it when he retires.

Assume they paid him off with an NDA or something similar.

That's technically not an opinion though. That's just a misguided belief in something thats a scientific fact.

Selective nonsense. We played Kairat over 2 games. We played Barcelona over 1. Therefore I have double the data to base that opinion on. Almost like the more times you test something the more accurate your findings become. There is no bigger gaping hole than your own argument later this month than watching us play Europa League football while Kairat play Champions League. As I've mentioned previously, your opinion is based on nothing other than historical bias.

Are those things active permanently? I always thought an NDA tended to have a timeframe

We dominated possession yes. We dominated aimless passes between centre backs and goalkeeper. However the basics of football are simple. Team who puts the ball across the goal line the most times wins the game. Considering we failed to score across 210 minutes of football and missed 3 penalties, its safe to say we were absolutely rank rotten at the entire purpose of a football match. Not that Kairat were massively more impressive in that regard, but they actually tactically nullified us and played to their strengths and managed to mastermind a victory despite having massively less resources. Therefore, I'm crediting them with being the more intelligent, and therefore better team over the 2 legs as their game plan worked to a tee. If not historical bias, then your definition of dominating football games without troubling an opposition goalkeeper or indeed scoring any goals in 210 minutes of football, is quite simply baffling.

Some do, some don't. Even if it does he won't come out and slag off a board, it wouldn't make him look good.

Wouldn’t be slagging off the board by telling us the truth about what happened and why he left so suddenly. Would just come across as him explaining his exit to supporters

money and power will always influence people. Money is basically power basically. When you realise that you can get whatever you want with money then you are used to having strings pulled in your favour regardless.
Truth told is not in their interest only ours. This is what we are dealing with. I hate the *.

Lol no it isn’t. It’s just an example using your logic.

Wrong again. We played Barca home and away that season.
You tested nothing. Your entire point is based on them going through over us with a bit of luck, ignoring the actual performances, quality of players and how the matches played out. No stats over the two legs support your point that they were a better team than us.

    :giggle1:
There’s the strawman argument again. Not once have I made any claims about the size of the clubs, which is irrelevant to the quality of both squads. The better team doesn’t always win in football, otherwise we wouldn’t even bother watching it. It’s the jeopardy of competition that keeps us interested. The fact they are playing in a higher competition this season doesn’t mean they are a better team. If we were to play them tomorrow, once again we’d be heavy favourites. Not one of their players would get into our team. Not one.

Using your logic of them playing in a higher competition than us, that would mean you also believe Kairat are a better team than Aston Villa, who are in the Europa League. That is obviously nonsense.

Anyone who believes Kairat have a better team than us is a moron, or possibly just overly angry about our failure to qualify but that’s being generous.

Wrong. If something is a fact, you can't hold an opinion that its something different. Nice try though.

You used 1 game in your example, so I referenced the 1 game you mentioned. So you're how having to backtrack and change your parameters because it was a * example. Games against Barcelona weren't 2 legged. They were individual games as you know. Both games ended 2-1 to the home teams.

The stats are there for all to see. Go look up the stats for the 2nd leg, they're actually very close in terms of shots and chances created. We really only dominated possession. Did you provide any stats to back up your claims of this brilliant performance that was desperately unlucky? Of course you didn't, yet you're trying to invalidate my argument.

Not one of their players gets into our team, thats again false. Chelsea are signing Dastan Satpaev who looks a really promising striker. Given our striking options, I'd say he has a decent chance of making our team. I obviously don't think Kairat are a better team than us in relative terms. They aren't. But I stand by my initial point that over the 2 legs they deserved to go through and had to perform above their station to put us out. Better prepared, better tactics, better game plan. You don't get through 3 qualifying ties by pure luck. You cannot say we did enough to deserve going through. Really don't see how that's a controversial take and could only come from a moron as you suggest. Not sure why you're referencing other teams like Villa, at no point did I state that every CL team is better than every Europa team, so thats strawman hypocrisy if I've ever seen it. I said Kairat putting us out and playing in a higher competition was definitive proof that over 2 legs, extra time and penalties they were the better team and deserved to be there. Nice stretch though.

    Me, Michael Nicholson, Desmond and lawell are in a WhatsApp group. Put this question/debate to them and they all agreed;

    • fans 30%. Nicholson said “they just don’t get it. Business doesn’t work by spending money.
    • Green brigade 15%. Desmond said “been trying to get rid of those * for years. Keep having to pay eufa for those *.
    • Brendan Rodgers 30%. This one they all said “* only wants players from England who want twice as much as we want to pay!”
    • Rod Stewart 5%. Desmond “always * texting me asking for 30-40 tickets for his mates. That’s money the sewer rats could be spending instead”
    • Media 20%. All again said “* constantly tell people our business. What do you mean you’re leaking us offering 1mil for a player valued at 5mil. HES VALUED AT WHATEVER WE SAY HE IS”

If anyone wants any more info from the group chat just let me know
