What utter horseshit. I'm actually amazed how they have made things worse.

Do they not understand that stockpiling cash reserves has had to come from profits over X years. FFP is taken over a period of X years but they're trying to make out it's on a year by year basis. Treating us like fools

    1. Why have we reduced games on season tickets whilst increasing prices during a cost of living crisis ?
    2. Who approved the £25 friendly and what was considered in setting the price ?
    3. Benji Siegrest made some serious allegations about the hierarchy in a public interview what is your direct response ?
    4. Go Ahead Eagles director made public comments about our failings in an attempt for Jakob Berum we then went on to spend the same amount on Toumekti what is the reasoning in one failing and one happening ?
    5. Why did we not trust ourselves to replace Daizen Maeda as he said in a public interview ?
    6. Who was the 'insider' feeding The Sun to form an article on Brendan Rodgers ?
    7. Why was Adam Idah sold after the manager publicly stated he wouldn't be until we had a replacement ?
    8. After another year of failing to qualify for the CL will we now look to appoint someone to boardroom level with actual experience working within a football club ?
    9. Why did the appetite for a DoF die with the Fergal Harkin rumours ?
    10. Does the failure to sell Maeda whilst his value is at its maximum represent a failure in the strategy the club has outlined previously ?

I think that is 10 perfectly reasonable questions which can be answered directly and avoid any rumors or speculation instead of this broad strokes it wasnt our fault nonsense

The scariest thing is there's obviously no self awareness in there at all. There will be no change, it will be the same until all those old * die and even then it will probably carry on

I sincerely hope no one is buying this narrative.

This is absolute *. I firmly believe our profit/spend or wage bills, are far far more cautious the virtually every club in Europe - we have plenty of wriggle room to be more aggressive in our spending, on both transfers and wages.

Even if there was a crumb of truth in this narrative the board have still failed, on multiple metrics.

Clubs with far less income get more success in europe

It doesn't justify why we are so sluggish getting transfers in

It doesn't explain why every manager we had since Strachan has had issues with the way we do business

It doesn't explain why other clubs and players criticise the way we conduct business

In a nutshell, absolute deflecting nonsense, from a board incapable of taking responsibility or conducting themselves to the standard we expect and deserve

Asked AI for a short breakdown of the statement........

In short: The statement shifts blame onto media speculation, UEFA regulations, selling clubs, and the unpredictable transfer market—while portraying Celtic’s board as prudent and disciplined stewards.

    Honestly astounded.

I think if they'd came out and honestly answered each question in a 1hr long interview or something, that might have been enough for some fans.

Not saying it would have for me.

However, this has just made thing literally 100x worse. It was posted 45 mins ago and has over 1.5k replies every single one of them scathing:giggle1:

There genuinely needs to be mass protests and boycotting of games. Until we do that they won't listen and will just think they can sail through this if we win a few games.

Even a sly dig at Rangers as much as it can be funny when things are well but looks like they are pathetically trying to play to the audience.

Whole thing has a cold angry bitter feel to it. Feels like they wrote it whilst rolling their eyes

It's incredible that they actually thought putting that loada * out was gonna settle everything down..

It's clear to me they're raging they've been backed in to a corner in the first place and just gone with a load of mumble jumble to say well we engaged..

    Wow.

So they absolutely just doubled down on everything and took zero accountability whatsoever… we’re in real trouble here.
