It's weird because both ourselves and the huns are a total shambles - just in different ways.

Celtic are a total mess behind the scenes with zero kind of modern footballing structure or even operation in place. We're like a bank that just hoards money and watches it decrease in value over time at the expense of what we're watching on the pitch. Yet come the bread and butter against Livingston, St Mirren, Aberdeen etc we still find a way to get the job done 95% of the time. This will change and decrease if performances remain the same, but we'll be consistent enough to keep our spot at the top.

The huns, who seem to have a proper structure at boardroom level down to the manager, have strangely decided to appoint a total clown and total failure of a manager whilst giving him full financial backing. From the outside looking in, this financial backing has likely been largely wasted this summer. This will have a direct impact on them on the pitch and that's where their main problems lie - the man in the dugout and what he's building.

You could say that we're a total mess but the impact of our problems will likely be felt more in the longer-term. Celtic still have more than enough to be winning games domestically on a regular basis and especially with a manager like Rodgers who generally has the beating of everyone bar the huns recently.

For me, we'll likely win the league but not by a massive deal. Eventually, probably this season, Martin will get the boot and they'll back someone proper. They'll likely get a bounce and win games more regularly again

Comparing it to the Covid season is, for me, a bit premature. You could say the disharmony between the board and the support mirrors that period. But we were up against a much more well-oiled hun machine under Gerrard. Can say what you want about us, but they were pretty relentless in 2020/21 and didn't really give us a sniff after losing the first derby of the season to them 2-0 at Parkhead. I rarely remember us going into a game with the chance of closing the gap by any margin.

So mainly for me we'll win the league because the huns are still sorting themselves out and made a couple of strange appointments/decisions at managerial level.

Im confident we will win the league.

I think the negativity around the running of the club has clouded how people are feeling about a side who are 6 ahead of Rangers, ticked off Ibrox and Pittodrie, and have yet to concede a goal while rangers are yet to win a game.

Im not going into next weeks game against Killie suddenly panicing because we havent replaced Idah. If we are professional and work hard we will still win these games and still win the league.

Yes but it won’t be pretty. 6 points ahead with only one more trip to Shitbox. However I do see them improving, whether that’s under Martin or they get a new manager in. I also see us dropping a good few points. Don’t know what the shortest gap has been recorded between champions and fourth but think this could be the shortest in a long, long time. We need our new wingers to be decent and need another striker to step up and take some pressure off Maeda. Think we’ll get another couple of players in jan. that with Jota coming back will see us over the line.

    Pish!!!

Defence and midfield are both stronger.
We've essentially lost Khun, Kyogo and Idah and replaced them with Balikwisha, Tounekti, Ineacho and Yamada.
Kyogos head was out the door and he was poor, Idah scored 20 goals but was largely pish and Khun had a phenomenal 5 months.
Aye the replacements aren't good enough for where we want to be but are still good enough for this league.
We won't score as many goals and will likely grind out a * ton of the boring wins we've already seen this season.

As for the competition, we finished 40 points ahead of Hearts, 32 ahead of Hibs and 17 ahead of the Huns.
Tony blooms data analysis done on the cheap doesn't change the fact they are being coached by a serial bottler, Hibs are Hibs as they showed in 2 different European competitions already, look decent but are soft as *.
As for the Huns, it may have escaped your attention but their fans are revolting even more than usual, they haven't won a game, their manager is a clueless fud and spunking £8m on a * dud from Evertons bench isn't gonna fix that.

Anyone thinking we don't have enough to beat the * competition in the Spfl needs to give their head a shake

What brand of glue you been sniffing this morning? We are weaker than last season by a good margin. Players like Daizen and Yang here who wanted to leave. There is not a chance we're running away with anything this season. The gap between us and the rest has never been smaller. You'll soon see that when we start flinging away points. Happy to continue this discussion in a couple of months. That summer window was a monumental disgrace and that squad we currently have is pathetic.

Say what you want about Rangers, alot of their team now walks into ours. Granted Russell may be one of the worst managers I've ever seen, but they can fix that. We can't fix our * squad until January. And we all know we won't even then. Too many background issues going on here for us to be successful. A useless board at war with our manager, depleted squad with players who'd rather be elsewhere. Its got a recipe for disaster written all over it and I feel sorry for those like yourself who can't see it coming. At least I'm able to mentally prepare myself for the upcoming further embarrassment.

I'd love nothing more than to be wrong and Celtic be flying in a few months. But I'll gladly revisit this conversation. Speak to you then.

We should win it. Rangers have been too poor to capitalise and we have the opportunity in January to strengthen significantly.

We will win it like we always do despite the board not because of them

By the time the huns get their * together by replacing Martin they could be 10/15 points behind

Well, we have the opportunity too. If the league is tight. That could be a key factor, like it was in Anges first season.

We hold all the card at the moment, despite our issues.

You honestly trying to claim none of their players would make our team? I'd rather have Miovski up front than any striker on our books. Gassama easily takes a spot on our wings. Antman would likely get a game at right wing as his competition is Forrest or Yang. Raskin would get a game in our midfield as he'd offer something different, and thats with me thinking he's overrated. You could make cases for a few more of them as well. Mikey Moore for example he'd make our squad no problem. I'd take their £8M striker over Inheanacho as well.

Highlight the part in my post where I said none of them gets in our team, ill wait :50:

I would take Miovski, but I wouldn't take Gassama over Maeda. Antman has been garbage for them but he would start for us currently considering we have no proper RW'S.

Their 8 million pound striker hasn't scored in 2 years, and when did he score it wasn't much. Yes Moore would make our squad, but that wasn't your original argument.

Raskin would be good competition but he wouldn't be guaranteed to start.

Its generally a question you'd ask if you disagreed with my point, so thats why I asked. And I can see you're agreeing with me on some of those names. On current form I'd start Gassama over Daizen. He's a shadow of himself and clearly looks like he was expecting to be away. Obviously if it was Daizen of last season there's no contest.

I don't think we're in much of a position to judge strikers on goals. We have Inheanacho who scored 1 goal for Middlesbrough last year. Kenny who's scored 2 goals for us. Yamada who's never scored for us and also hasn't scored in quite a while. And then Osmand who's yet to make his professional debut. So I don't see where our goals are coming from. 3 of our 4 strikers on the books have never scored a goal for Celtic. Kenny has 2. It's been years since we didn't actually have a striker on our books who has experience of scoring goals for us. Quite an incredible situation to find ourselves in. Unless our plan is to play Daizen through the middle for the rest of the season and him be the main man, but with the way he's looked so far, it doesn't fill me with much hope.

Like I say mate, I don't think it's gonna be enjoyable to watch we've lost a * ton of goals and replacements are nowhere near the standard we should have got but I still think we are too strong for the rest

Could be an awful lot of scrappy 1 nil wins as opposed to the comfortable 3 and 4 goal wins from last season.

We are weaker but don't think we are week enough for the others to close those gaps enough and I dont think any of them are strong enough to hit the 90 point threshold that you usually require to finish ahead of us.

Voted yes, since the Huns' board have made a bad appointment in Martin, and it will take them time to axe him and get someone who will deliver results. I don't think they are our main threat this season.
