You only need to look at the first 6 months of last season to know Rodgers can have us playing good football. Arguably the best we’ve seen a very very long time. After Bayern there was a drop off, absolutely no doubt about that. With the league being basically wrapped up is that understandable, a wee bit. To not beat Aberdeen was * rank rotten. Is there mitigating circumstances why the football at the start of this season has been fairly drab though? You’d have to living on the moon not to think there was in my opinion.

    Exactly mate.

They have been failing the club for years.

See when the supporters of the board are reduced to saying ‘at least we haven’t went bankrupt’ that’s pretty tellling imo.

    Patheticness.

Other than that period at the start of last season (August to November, not quite 6 months) the football has been mostly functional under Rodgers. Ultimately winning games is what counts, I just don't think there's enough mitigating circumstances that constitute an excuse for what we've seen in particular the last 3 games (excluding Livi). Fairly drab is putting it lightly btw.

The amount of goals we scored last season doesn’t point to 6 months of poor football mate. I think it’s been exaggerated to be honest, but I would say there was a drop off after Bayern.

It's the so called bigger games in the last 6 months were Rodgers is failing on. We haven't beaten them - cup final & champions league qualifier. To me I fully put the blame on the manager. Doesn't seem to be able to get a tune out of the players - currently our 2 full backs are causing us issues as Tierney & Ralston cannot get forward. Manager needs to adapt to this

"Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".

Doesn’t this quote, highlight the issue we’re having setting up and playing ‘that lot’ at the moment?

The football was definitely poor in comparison after the CL exit, with some notable exceptions like against Aberdeen, to what we showed we are capable of before.

If we'd been majorly rotating in others in the squad, or even better blooding and developing development players, and trying out different shapes and tactics I'd say it would be fine, even commendable.

But we weren't doing any of those things and it contributed majorly to us losing the Cup Final.

Rodgers does have responsibility for that. It's the definition of his job to manage how we play surely and to get the most out of the players right to the end of the season. Khun being a wee * was obviously a factor and he has my sympathies on that.

Aye I’d say Rodgers is responsible for the football we seen after Bayern, definitely. The only thing you could maybe say is that the league was wrapped up very early in the season so the edge would have been taken away slightly, which is natural.

We badly need a sporting director or something to be brought in. Something else that needs remedied if we get these * out or to improve.

A club our size needs one in modern football. Rodgers was on record in 2021 whilst at Leicester saying its something he believes is hugely important and I've no doubt they probably promised him that'd be looked at when he came back.

Everytime he's mentioned looking at the footballing structure hee haw has happened.

Well he reckons they bleed for the club and all on the same page behind the scenes, nothing to worry about.

It's important for him to get the messege that running around playing games all the season and * up our domestic success will also tarnish his reputation.

He will get the support against the board if he continue to do the job he is here to do and are incredibly well paid for. I doubt he will do his job unfortunately.

His ongoing egotistical, petty and frankly prejudice against 'club signings' is now at the stupid stage.
Shin, Inamura, Nawrocki, Lagerbielke are just a few.

If this was a normal organisation he'd be up in front of HR.

I think it is fairly clear that Rodgers has checked out mentally. He cant wait to be gone at the end of the season. The players know it and are half arsing it. The Board know it so don't provide funds and the fans know it but many won't judge him should he resign today. Not a great place to be.

And if this was a normal organisation we wouldn't be hiring 'staff' the manager doesn't want.

Does any other club do 'club signings'? Should that even be a thing? Questionable.

If the board know it they should pay him off. They won’t however. They’ll continue to hide behind him.
