Can't wait as well. But worry what kind of Jota we will get.

That's a serious injury. Fingers crossed.

Aye it is a worry. Canny wait to hear how it’s like a new signing though when he returns. I think you can rule this season out time he gets match sharp.

Hasn't played much football in 2 yrs. Also, having a serious injury to overcome. I hope I'm wrong but I feel he will not be the same player when he makes it back. Also getting older. Will be 27 by the time he gets back on the park.

It's not guaranteed he will be the same that's for sure. I hope he's fine as we really need him

Somehow the blonde hair makes him look even more Indian.

My worry is he has missed 2 1/2 years of football when he comes back from this, and taking into account the Saudi shambles. I hope but doubt very much, he will be anywhere near the level he was when he left us for Saudi. My goodness do we need a fit Jota!!!

Think he will be absolutely fine

The short spell we saw him when he returned he didn't look to have lost anything in his time away from us.

Bit of sharpness to return but then the injury, I'd expect a slow start when he returns, but then fully expect he will be sensational again once he is firing second half of season.

Think people are going slightly overboard with the amount of football he played before coming back. In the 30 months that he was away from Celtic, he still played 35 games, didn't suffer any major injuries(as far as I am aware) and would have been training continuously. Even when he came back here, it was clear he had a little bit of fitness to make up but could still see the flair and the creativity oozing from him when he got the ball.

No doubt, the injury may have a devastating impact on him but he hasn't ever really relied on his pace to beat a man so that gives me lots of hope for him coming back.

Hopefully this is how it goes. I have to say last season I was very surprised with how good he looked and so quickly considering how little he had played in the previous season and a half so lets hope he can make a similar return when he recovers from his knee injury.

Thats putting it mildly. I can't remember is it likely he will be back in training towards the end of this year or is he not likely due back until after the start of the year?

I think its likely the latter, I hope he's back for December/January but its likely February.

Ouch thats not what I wanted to hear but sadly your probably right. I would of course miss Jota regardless but given how poor we are up front now we miss him all the more.
