He is a player who at his peak 4+ year ago would probably have scored 35 a season for us without breaking sweat.

As he is a quality finisher and passer of the ball etc and poacher even although in the EPL he was never capable of that but in our League he'd have been like a far better version of Stokes or Griffiths but how much can he move about the park now and at what pace to actually get goals.

I used to think when he played for Man City he was far better than Rashford. As Rashford could run but he was never a patch on Iheanacho technically, who was scoring also at the time but also a bit of a playmaker.

All depends if he's 28 or 38. Nobody knows :fear:

He looks like one of those wee old fat 40 a day smokers from the 80s that had some touch and would stand about in the 10 flicking it over heads but need subbed after half hour..

He's clearly very talented I remember when he broke through at City the sky was the limit for him. Then he moved to Leicester & Rodgers got a tune out of him. If we can get him in good condition & he shows desire to redeem himself he will be excellent for us as he is a Rodgers player 100%. It's all a big 'IF' but I'm here for his Redemption Arc. We need to think positively after the nightmare the past few days.

Cause he is definitely old and done I think, he's been on the slide for years. He never used to be like that, he was fairly quick and mobile and could beat men etc when at Man City and even for a year or two after that but has only got slower and slower since then. Started his career physically at his peak at "18", maintained it for 2/3 year then declined each year since with rapid decline from about 25-28.

What other players have declined like that physically in their mid 20s to the point by 28, three teams consider you well past your best and now you're being offered 1 year contracts.

Mind he's never been seen as a lazy player, unfit player, never balloned up and down in weight etc never had bad injuries. Used to be physically good like a wee turn of pace, strong. Now he's towing a caravan about a park like Shankland. Probably not because he's lost it mentally but he just is about 34 now and not got the legs.

Posts on instagram suggest he's doing his own work.. (or recently has been).. if Rodgers can get this guys buy in he could be a very effective player

Reminder that Aaron Mooy was at the very end of his professional career, well into his thirties but had a major influence on the park in his time at Celtic, probably chiefly down to his ability to modify his game to play to his stengths.

Need to back the guy man.

Not his fault he’s arriving to a total shitshow. Can moan about him rejecting us and spout the birthday caird pish of “ye shouldn’t be able to come to Celtic if you’ve turned us down in the past”. But it can get in the bin

We didn’t want him aye, but he’s here and deserves our support.

Protests should be loud and clear towards the board, but not because they signed Iheanacho. But because of the shambolic transfer window as a whole

    Good luck to him.

My expectations are so low but surely if he can get to an even average level of fitness and applies himself he will be able to add a bit of value in the SPFL.

He's going to take a good wee while to build up to being anywhere near match fit/ sharp . Really hope shin and Kenny lay a marker down

    Cracking highlights video.

You just wonder how much of that player is still there and how long is it gonna take to get him fit.
Anything close to form he showed at Leicester and he'll rip it up
