Easy to poke fun at ILTC there but age cheating is fairly well documented in Nigeria. Not saying I agree with him but it’s hardly the wildest suggestion. IF it were true, he wouldn’t have a “fake ID”, he’d have a Nigerian document stating his date of birth which was then used to give him a ‘legitimate’ UK ID.

The reason he was picked up by City was for performances in an u17 World Cup.. Nigeria have been hammered for fielding overage players in these comps.

Honestly wouldn’t shock me at all if he’s not 28.

I think it's safe to say Iheanacho is the age he is claimed to be.

 

But theres leeway of years either side, they need to think you are like 5 years older than you are to not let you play because the age range can be -3 or +3.

Ndidi who played for Leicester actually failed the test, meaning they pretty much said he is 5+ year older than he claimed.

Me and you could be born on the same day, both of us say exactly 16, you could appear 13 and I could appear 19. Both of us would be allowed to play because we are in the range of normal.

That's not true regarding leeway, for the U17 World Cup. Players have to be Under the age of 17 at the start of the year the U17 World Cup is played. The MRI wrist scans reportedly have a 99% accuracy rate too.

 

I feel bad for questioning Idah's attitude on the pitch. Now we are in the market for something potentially much worse. I hope I am wrong.
