Is there an ex player or respected club figure (not part of the current regime) who could be a figurehead? Someone like Sutton (unlikely to give up his media gigs)

Petrov possibly would. He’s been one of the biggest critics of the club and their recruitment but again, depends on his media duties.

Sky Sports would lap it up if Sutton became a spokesperson or a figurehead for the Celtic Trust. They want the drama

Not a bad shout and you'd think the Trust would appreciate that. I think Jim Craig was quite involved in some Celts for change meetings back in the day so it's definitely something that can help build trust

Really need the GB, NCC and Bhoys to step up and arrange protests as the first course of action.

Literally wouldn't trust one individual to represent the fans.

One sniff of the big table and they'll just fall into line as well.

Anyone with north of 3-5% of a shareholding likely to be sympathetic?

Chris Trainer has 11% doesn't sit on the board and its rumoured he'd be open to trying to instigate change. Just rumours tho.. but he could be a possible 'kingmaker' if we coukd attract new investors.

If fans can get hold of their ordinary/family shares and unite under the Trust we could force an extra ordinary GM. There's enough shares out there around 20%. I think less than 60% of the shareholders vote or use their shares in AGMs, meaning Desmond and his allies can continue without any scrutiny.

Said it last week. Dementia or Death is what gets Desmond away. And what's Ross like as he's next up from the dynasty.

I'm gonna say the apple won't fall far from the tree. I do think he'll move away Lawell and find his own stooge to run things.

As long as tje major share holders are making dosh, the status quo will remain.

Focus has got to be Desmond. Everything else is a product of him. That fat leech Lawwell and idiot Nicholson.

Stunned that there has not yet been any effort made from a fan group or fan media outlets to mobilise and unite the support. We cannot afford to wait until the 27th Sept to make our voices heard - we should be capitalising on the current levels of outrage. I haven’t spoken to a single fan who isn’t in complete disbelief of the situation that we find ourselves in. Even the most balanced of fans are furious. There’s always a chance that the anger dissipates and nothing meaningful happens if we wait weeks to take action.

Trouble is it needs a charismatic figure, a focal point. Alongside a person who can actually instigate some change. Or group/Fan advisory.

Its too disjointed at the moment and one of the most difficult fanbases to unite under one banner.

If we think back to Celts for Change it was Brian Dempsey that had the charisma, wee McCann had the money and the vision, couldn't really call him charismatic tho. Ruthless aye, as he emptied Dempsey immediately:56:

Its a much different scenario nowadays and the Club are in a much much different financial position. And a success domestically, dominant.

The warning signs about how we're being ran have been there for years and it will eventually bite hard.

As a fanbase we need to try and do our bit as to what's glaringly coming over the horizon, before its too late.

But it needs some sort of leader or group who can unite the fanbase and get things started and keep it going even if we are successful this season

Lawell and the rest did their job & served their purpose. They should have left the building a long time ago and passed it over to younger, more innovative figures but they've got too greedy and comfortable picking up a big payday. As other clubs have moved with the times we've kept the bowling club mentality, which the sheer size of our club compared to the domestic opposition allows to happen. I.e 'success' at least domestically can be had relatively easily.

There is no ambition and forward thinking in that boardroom. It's gone completely stale but who is going to give up their massive salaries. None of them are getting that elsewhere. For Lawell, he's already feathered his nest and I can see him slinking off again but for younger guys like Nicholson it's gonna take a monumental effort to eject them.
