We are a poor outfit as well. The attacking options we have will struggle to break down any team that are well organised, and despite the hyperbole about them being on par with Dundee etc, Almaty were very well organised defensively. I fully expect the football between now and January to be woeful. McGregor was out asking for players, they’ve not arrived. So can’t imagine he is feeling too great about the situation. Rodgers said Idah can’t go unless we bring in a striker. We didn’t, and Idah has still left. One of our two right wing options is Yang, he was hopeless before we * him getting a move. Wonder how he feels. The whole thing is a complete shitshow, and you’d have to be naive not to think that will transcend on to the players. Both the fans and Rodgers have been well and truly * over. Not for the first time.

Rodgers won't walk what he will do is get the best out of the players at his disposal, no doubt he'll be livid inside but will present a diplomatic front, everyone knows this will be his last season, he himself will want to complete it and win another league title.

We need to be careful not to totally self implode because of the Board's lack of ambition and negligence, that would only give the advantage to the huns.

Many are angry and understandably so.

He may have no choice but to do this if he chooses to stay, but I’m not too sure that’s a given.. why hasn’t he managed to do that with what he had at the end of last season and at the start of this season?

The boards incompetence in failing to replace outgoing players has a direct bearing on his performance and his reputation as a manager.
He may stand to gain more by splitting now and preserving his reputation, than to continue under a fractured leadership and frosty atmosphere and oversee a deterioration in performances.

He wasn’t able to get the best out of Kyogo and Idah and then there’s Kuhn who downed tools for him. Maeda has shown a marked decline in form this season and Yamada has only recently been introduced to the first team fold but has come off the back of a dip in form in the J League. Johnny Kenny has been bright and worked hard when he has come in but he isn’t perceived to be of the same class.

As much as he said recently he wouldn’t leave before his deal was up this is before they have dry bummed him.

First decent job offer from down south and he’s gone! I didn’t blame him the last time got pelters for it as well, and wouldn’t blame him this time either.

He’s been hung out to dry again.

Sadly Prof, he didn't do that against Kairat. He failed miserably. A black mark on his CV now.

He will praise the * of the board as usual. Folk are crazy thinking he’d walk.

He’ll only start complaining if he starts dropping points.

He's probably taken/been given a few days off just now.

I wouldn't want to speak to any of the board right now.

Right now i think it would be fair to say that the bulk of the anger is aimed towards the Board, if Rodgers were to depart early for a second time then that dynamic would change and i don't think he himself would want that.

It's ok fans saying they wouldn't blame him, but it would throw us into turmoil and as already mentioned give our opponents the advantage, we can still win the league with this squad of players.

We are currently sittin 6 points ahead of the huns with the next game against them at CP, the huns have spent a lot of money but are no great shakes themselves.

It's not to try and sugar coat anything but need to hold our nerve and remain calm, the MSM and huns would love nothing more than us to implode.

We can still win the league with this group of players but its going to be ugly and painful to watch. There's just no quality in this side from front to back.

I don't just watch Celtic to see us eek out narrow wins in the SPFL or 2 shots on target in an old firm. It's shockingly dull. 210 minutes against Kairat without a goal.

Worst still, we don't have any striker/winger/midfielder that shoots from outside the box or can score a header. We've 9 months head of us of shoehorn passing the ball around the pitch for cut backs to the 6 yard box.

One dimensional football because we don't have the squad to play any other way and Rodgers only has the 1 formation anyway regardless of whether its the huns, Kairat or St Mirren.

I agree in part, if we can get by until January we have a chance to reinforce/add to the squad then but something has to change to avoid this happening again and unless the board are overhauled, how can Rodgers be convinced that it won’t?

The one saving grace for us is our defence. I said at the start of the season that I believed that a defence of KT - Scales - CCV and AJ would win us the title but Rodgers needs to sort out the midfield system and get our forwards playing and scoring.

Rangers defence isn’t a touch on ours which is battle tested and more organised in comparison.

Rodgers signed 4 players last year for almost 30 million - not one of them is good enough to make the first 11 according to the same Rodgers - one of them has been shipped on - we are in a position currently due to this - spending money does not guarantee good players - it's up to Rodgers to motivate the squad now - he hasn't got a tune out of them for 6 months - our football is brutal to watch - we currently have 2 full backs who cannot get forward. This is a BIG problem for us. Fullbacks need changed - this is causing us to have no width - we all need to get behind the team when in the stadium - anger & protests should stay outside of the stadium - that atmosphere doesn't help the team while playing a game

You can look at Rodgers his tactics and use of subs, but you also have to look at the quality on the park, over 3 and a half hours of fitbaw and we couldn't score a single goal, that speaks for itself.

Right now that is the only hope I see that Rodgers will not want the board to win so to speak by resigning and that he will do what he can to get enough from this group of players to eeke out a title win and then walk. The fact that we are at this point now is completely self inflicted by our own board and by Desmond. Their arrogance and incompetence has not only put us firmly back in the slow lane for Europe but has firmly put or domestic dominance at risk. I said in the Nicholson thread that if he was genuinely a Celtic fan he should do the right thing and resign as clearly he is completely out of his depth. But the same applies to most of the board and Desmond as well.

Rumours on twitter he's resigned. Probably bullshit but I wouldn't blame him.
