Wanted him like 8 years ago when it was entirely unrealistic because he was showing promise with his limited game time at City.

Since those days though hes gone nowhere and done nothing.

What a poor signing. He doesnt add anything we are missing in terms of energy, effort, urgency.

No joke, id reckon Bamford for the 5 minutes that he can play would offer more and try harder than Iheanacho would in 38 full appearances.

What he is however is that washed ex epl "star" name that was going to be signed to placate Rodgers until he jumps ship to Leeds

He's really coming in isn't he

 

Havent seen him play since his Leicester days. But he's actually not a bad footballer.. 200 EPL games for a decent side. Picked every week in the squad. Clearly a team player and has a good attitude. But he shouldn't be our starting striker. Should have been Dolberg and Iheanacho. But he's certainly not a * footballer. The issue will be taking 6 weeks to any sort of match fitness and then away for the African Cup. Will be a stop start season for him until February.

 

The issue isn't his ability, just his fitness and mindset which are huge question marks.

 

Leicester and Man City were a long time ago. His recent form, and attitude, have been abysmal.

 

If he’s half as good as big Idah we’re * , or more * than we are already

 

He is thrice the player Idah will ever be.

 

His record is stinking man..

Only his double figures once in his career with 12 which was 5 year ago..

Hasn't scored more than 5 any season since. 1 for Middlesbrough in the championship last season. Nothing for Sevilla the season before who've subsequently released him on the last day with ease..

Watching clips of how he moves is even scarier than his lack of goals..

It's a ridiculous signing. Going from a real bagsman in Dolberg who's smashing them in to this joker. Pfft..

 

There will be a cut off point but if they are a free agent they can be signed.

Im at peace with him coming and proving a point. No point hating on the guy when he hasnt played a match.

I'm not quite so much sure on the 2027/28 contract...is he a long term solution?? Or maybe Brendans parting gift to the board LOL

Not very happy with it but lets not forget its not the club or players.

It's the board we should hate. I will back him if he gets signed and just pray to * he hit his best form because if he do that, he will be a good player for us.

 

We need players. Id rather have this guy and maybe a 20% chance that he comes good alongside Shin and Kenny rather than not have him. Rodgers can maybe work a bit of magic. Still * though

And not a great look when you try to get a guy on loan and the selling club would rather just rip up his contract!

 

I know, should have had Dolberg in the bag on Friday when they got knocked out but decided to * wait and low ball them and Ajax came in.
