Why have a season ticket if you’re not going to go? I know you need to buy the packages separately. However they’re still giving over £500 to the board for standard season ticket.

If you feel like you’re going to give up your seat as you don’t want to support this board, fair enough, I can’t question you, but if you retain your seat and just don’t go to Europa matches (they’d buy tickets if we made it into the quarter finals though!) then the whole thing seems pointless, not much of a protest if you are just picking and choosing which games to go to, you’ve already paid the full season ticket, if you really want to protest, give up your seat entirely, turn your back on the club/team. There’s thousands me included on the waiting list for years. Would gladly take the seat from you. I don’t support this board either, but I support the team. I think another point runs true; sometimes it’s better with the devil you know. I hate Lawwell as much as the next guy, but there’s a lot worse out there, the Mike Ashley’s of the world, if you think this board are cheap you’ve not seen anything yet. At least they’ve kept us out of bankruptcy. That’s the only positive I can give though on their behalf.
No matter the case, a no show protest is never the answer and will never work with a fanbase as large as Celtic’s, these season tickets are gold dust! Of course those seats will be snatched up.

Spotted it funnily enough a few links below this thread when I came back out of here. Was hoping no one would clock the stupidity of me not using my eyes :56:

There's no way to effect change without getting DD to sell up. That's the bottom line. How you would achieve that, I've no idea.

He is a billionaire that owns the club for sentimental reasons and has no inclination to grow it in any way. He clearly is just holding it to pass on to his son, who for all we know will also just be an absentee owner. I've no idea what leverage you can exert upon them to sell if they don't want to. They don't live here, they're barely ever at the games, they don't rely on us financially, they've no skin in the game.

I think it's just a case of making the club more trouble than it's worth. Just be a * thorn in the side to the board week-in week-out, whatever that looks like. Just constantly * on their parade.

Inspired by V for Vendetta. Every fan is given a mask- maybe Fergus McCann or somebody that embodies saving the club and they get worn at home games.

Regardin the trust, I assume that small percent is what the trust itself may actually own and not the combined fan owned shares that they have being united under one umbrella?

Uncle Tom English has spent years casting the blame at Brendan Rodgers rather than the club.

Not to be a * about it, but when fans know that the board won't change so long as they get their money in, then fans funding them need to surely be aware, that as honest and straight as their intentions are to follow the team, they're also encouraging and telling the board it's okay how they run out club.

Hilarious it’s always * who don’t put any money into the club who are so detached to reality.

Keep up watching from afar on your Firestick and buying kits of DHgate and leave the real talking to the adults in the room

Edit Turns out this moonbeam has an ulterior motive he’s on season ticket waiting list “Quelle surprise”

Everybody still wants to watch Celtic and see their mates and families at the match. Fans aren't going to boycott the games or not buy a season ticket.

People have to stop buying jerseys and merchandise. 80 pounds for a jersey, 60 quid for training tops, 100 quid for jackets. If 60,000 fans didnt buy a jersey at 80 quid that's 4.5m. Now, that's never going to happen, but you get the point.

If people want to send a message to the Board to spend in January then you simply don't buy all that * this Christmas. They'll lose millions. I won't give them another penny until they start spending the 80m they have in the bank.

Ugly, nasty chants directed at the board members every home game would get picked up by the media. And provocative banners, too. The discontent of the fans must be made public, it must become a story.

On the flipside the team needs to be backed to the hilt, they'll need all the support they can get in the next few months...

No, actually the burden of proof is on the person making that accusation to substantiate it. I never advocated intimidation and fear. I proposed peaceful but vocal protest and continuous personal presence.

The only mention of children was in relation to board members explaining to their families why said board members are being met with protests.

Give me your counter-proposal - or am I to assume you’re one of the compliant and the complicit who would twiddle their thumbs and let the board away with this?

We’ve a right to assemble and a right to protest on any given street - residential or otherwise. That’s all that’s being proposed here. If you want to caricature that proposal in order to rubbish it so you can make yourself feel better about your complicit inaction, that says much more about you than about me.

Some absolute bollox being posted on what actually could be an interesting thread.
Find Lewels house etc, violence -*.

It has to begin somewhere, as was before Fergus.
It can happen again, starve them of cash first and foremost , humiliate by showing their mismanagement and inadequacies of a professional business person, egos crumble fast.
Ignore all club social media, it will hurt more than you know.
Never stop letting them know, we are this club, without Us, it is nothing, the bunch of Tory backslapping bunch of arrogant shi7ebags.

Harassment is a crime, which is what you have suggested. Also, their families aren't behind this, that we know of anyway. Harassing innocent people because of their family isn't right.

In a statement to the stock exchange, Lawwell said: "Our commitment as always is to invest in continuous improvement in all areas of the club and, most importantly, in the first team squad. The success of our model has ensured that funding is available to acquire players who will contribute to ongoing success."

    Fukin *, that’s today.

We all support the team Paddy and that's why there's so much anger today. If fans are against a no-show then the only other alternative would be to boycott the merchandise and, as I've already said in an earlier post, I'm sure Adidas wouldn't be too happy to see that no one is buying the numerous kits they've made. We could also stop buying the luke warm Bovril and cold pies etc. The fans have to show those * that we are not happy. We have done it before and we'll do it again
