I wish it didn't make sense to me but it panned out pretty much exactly how I expected. With Rodgers going into his final year and not signing an extension he was never going to be backed to bring in players he wanted. If we had a proper DoF and succession plan that wouldn't matter, we'd bring in players that would fit the system, regardless of the manager. But we don't.

We also were always going to gamble on getting CL football before trying to buy anyone decent, as that is just what we do when we have qualifiers, they set the budget based on us not qualifying and then increase it if we do.

What I didn't anticipate was us not even getting a few decent/good loan deals on deadline day to tide us over for the season. It takes off the scale incompetence, negligence, or deliberate self sabotage to somehow do worse than my rock bottom expectations from them.

 

Absolutely Deflated, have that feeling of defeat with Celtic right now. We can't forgot what this board has done. I'm sorry but Tisdale needs to go his transfer strategy was the biggest Flop in history of any club. Need to get these dinosaurs in our club out & modernise our club with a competent board who understands the modern game & market.
