This window has easily been one of the worst we have had in recent history.

The Covid window ended up terrible and is probably still our worst window on paper, but during that window we clearly backed Lennon, this window I honestly cannot say we done the same.

Yes the players we have signed could turn out great. I think Nygren will be a star, Tounekti seems exciting, getting Tierney back (despite his early form) was a big one and I am excited to see Inamura in the future. Jury is out on Balikwisha and Yamada and very much out on Ihaenacho, Sarrachi clearly a stop gap.

Despite all the above, its cost us the champions league, cost us a win at Ibrox against a woeful hun team and its the most out of sorts I've seen our team and fanbase since 2020/2021.

If the huns don't sack Martin soon, then its likely we'll get away with it in the league again, but if they do sack him early, then i think they'll heavilly fancy the league. Next season they'll really fancy it.

Next summer might be worse. Rodgers will be gone, Hatate, Bernardo, Schmeichel and Maeda will likely be gone and I think one of CCV or Johnston will leave alongside them.

Is it really going to take the huns winning he league for our board to leave/act? Would it take them winning it twice in a row? Who knows, but thats what it feels like.

You can debate the quality of their signings but the manager has identified areas he needs players for and has also highlighted players he wanted. They have went out, very little fuss and got players in. There's not even been one story of no them bidding below clubs valuations.

That's what happens when you appoint an experienced and professional director of football who knows how to do the job properly.

They've been a basket case for 15 years and already they are absolutely embarrassing us with how they go about their business.

Also, what will be lost in the striker debacle is we've literally not replaced Kuhn.

We sold him for £17 million back in July and haven't replaced him. Not even a loan, literally no one.

We're likely going to put one of Maeda, Tounekti or Balikwisha on the right, where they wont be as comfortable.

What are we going to do?

Protest? Boycott? Give them a hard time at the AGM?

Does any of it make any difference anyway?

So for the next 4 months we'll have next to no pace in this side and barely any guile whatsoever..

Ralston and a hampered KT with no real bombing on pace on the overlaps. Zero legs in the midfield. No pace out wide bar Maeda and nothing up top of Iheanacho starts..

It's as bad as it gets..

I predict we're in for a torturous few months..

    * forbid we get any other injuries to our first 11..

    Our options

Try and rotate what little quality we have, though all competitions, hoping for no injuries/suspensions.

Phase more younger players into the squad until the January window (no laughing)

Or less likely - Identify players in the positions we need from players out of contract, and invite them to train with the squad to see if they offer anything. But they don't have clubs for a reason.

It's disgraceful that it has come to this.

The thing is, it shouldn't be a surprise.
Many a poster on here have been calling the club out for a few years, this is just the final confirmation of what we pretty much already knew.

Thankful it's over. That was torture. Utter torture.

I have a feeling we will look back on this summer as the moment that the tables turned. Can only see us going even further downhill from here as players leave and we change up and downsize in terms of the manager too.

And that boys and girls is that a summer window where the quality of the squad has diminished.

The final numbers in terms of cash where

    Incoming: £35m
Outgoing: £12m (if Hammarby lad gets done)
    Net profit: £23m

There is your money claimed back for Engles and Trusty, Rodgers Hannah said tonight on Clyde board where not happy with what we paid.
