A 6 point lead is nothing, it’s clear that something is very very wildly wrong behind the scenes.

we’ve got a pish 4th backup choices choosing to go to Charlton vs up here. Mental it’s at that stage.

 

I wonder if at any point over the last few days if he regreted his unprofessional dig at Edouard a few weeks back

If he didn't care to ever work again in management and cared about his reputation with the fans then sure, he'd be wise to walk at 23:00:01 and then sit back, kick up his feet with some questionable * for 30 seconds, then switch over to sky sports news and watch as Celtic Park is figuratively sight on fire with protesting fans.

He'll suffer it out until January, then land a job like Brentford or Leeds, * it.... I wouldn't be shocked at all to see the season out and then ends up at Wrexham if they get promoted and makes it abundantly clear that two Hollywood yanks who supposedly know * all about football are two of the wisest football club owners hes ever worked with.

Rodgers is too greedy to walk. He knew how the board does transfer dealings and still came back. It's his own fault he was * again by them. Why didn't he learn from the first gig? Well, ok, he didn't learn from the last three hun games as well. Maybe I just overestimate his intelligence.

Im no even arsed anymore if he goes or no, fed us utter * way his interviews starting from the club has to move forward to then telling us how much the board love the club, they have made him look like a right clown and I hope he is pulled up on some of the comments he has made in his next interview especially the comments on Idah leaving without a replacement.

Can we all at least for one night unite in our * hate for the * running this club instead of idiotic posts about him being greedy or learning lessons from the hun games. * boring now.

 

He won't resign.. and it won't be a financial reason..

He said he'll do his 3yrs and he will.

I expect him to try and calm things.. opportunity for the players here etc...

 

Every manager for the last 20 years has experienced what Rodgers had tonight to some extent. However, this is the worst shafting of a manager I can remember.

Agree he came back to build bridges with the support if he leaves it won't be on him think that's the way he wants it, and we will be stuck with a yes man going forward

Rodgers isn't absolved from his own failings.

He can moan or backtrack all he wants about maintaining vs progressing, wanting to play faster football, all thay good stuff... but he is 3 seasons into his coaching, the squad bar players like Nygren, Shin and Balikwisha are largely fully aware of what Rodgers wants and instructs in training by now.

At the same time as making statements about wanting to play this way or that way, the squad have regressed aggressively under his tutelage. He is to blame for that, not the apparent lack of quality. This has been months in the making.

The board failing to back him is only part of the problem, his coaching is the other.

All in all, Mexican stand off between the board vs the manager. Fans and players caught in the middle and it * shows.

 

His position is untenable, and this situation will only worsen as we couldn't score in a brothel. Truly and utterly messed it up this year, not just in Europe either.
