Option 1: Desmond doesn't want to crush Rangers because he hopes us and them could go into the English league system. Nevermind that in reality this has no chance of happening because lower league English clubs are barely surviving as is. Still, I think the delusions of DD lead to us never seizing the advantage when we have it.

Option 2: the board members have clauses wherein their bonuses depend on the cash balance in the account, thus being motivated to avoid spending lavishly. TBH, doesn't explain last summer.

Option 3: this is a revenge job by Peter Lawwell on Rodgers for getting his useless son fired. Lawwell convinced the rest of the board by painting Trusty, Idah and Engels as failures. I think this one is the best explanation for this specific window.

 

If you had told someone in January we would have sold Kyogo and Idah and replaced them with a loan deal for Dsvid * Fofana even the most ardent critic of the Board wouldn't have believed it. Complete incompetence.

They brought Jota back in January and signed KT for the summer. We were excited looking into the summer with some quality additions. Now look at us. The Board need to be replaced. Desmond who I loathe can get to * the crooked freak.

 

We dreamed about wing options of a fully fit KT and Jota with AJ and Kuhn on the right.

Now we have a KT that even after a full preseason can't last 90minutes at all, barely a single winger and AJ is out for three months and Jota longer.
