They have signed a replacement though in that Okeke boy. Why are they still taking to us if they dont want to sell

 

Apparently it’s a strategy from the club

Because they know our desperation and £5.5m is not enough for them to lose one of their best players. Are you suggesting Hammarby don't get the best deal they can for a key player or they don't keep them if the buying club doesn't meet their valuation.

It's our fault and our fault alone we are in this situation, Hammarby are quite entitled to treat us like the mugs we clearly are.

 

Desperation or not they quoted 5 mill we went above that and they've said not enough. Im allowed to be * at that. And if youve seen earlier comments from me...im not fan of that * board

 

You should be * off that we are in this situation not that another club is looking out for their own interests. If our board has that kind of attitude I'd applaud them but we are happy to help other clubs out as long as we get any sort of money in.

We are reeking of desperation due to waiting this long. We deserve all we get. We should get scanted for any player we’re after now. And we will.

 

Save a couple of months wages

 

They are feigning an attempt to get the player, and then, when it doesn't happen, they will say the other club asked too much. We are not really looking to sign players, but merely acting to make it seem we are trying.

 

Also if we really want him and the club are unwilling to sell now, we could do a deal for January that would have him arriving in the 1st Jan but we won't as we don't do forward planning.

Hammarby knocked back 5.5M and told Celtic not for sale.

The player stated he did not think Celtic "won't give up" before the deadline - but sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg insists that the club do not want to sell.

He told Expressen: "Nothing is set in stone in this business. We have had a great dialogue with Seb and a clear dialogue with Celtic that we have no ambition to sell.

"It is not that we have made a counter-offer. We have really just said no."

Would be a shame to sign this boy now, be looking at him to carry the team on his back for 4 month.

 

This boys looks like exactly what we are missing out wide. Someone with a bit creativity.

I think we've bid for him knowing fine well Hammarby have already said not for sale as can't get a replacement.

If we were serious we could do a deal with Hammarby now and get him in January. We are not though. I think as some have said this is pure optics or else complete panic.

 

This so smacks of Idah part 2.
Refuse to bid near asking, monitor, lowball and then have to beg to pay over the asking.

I'd guess we'd have gotten all our first choices in for end July for what we were eventually willing to spend in worse players by the end of the window.
We'd have qualified for UCL, gotten all the cash back etc etc.

It's simply astonishing.

 

So they don’t want to sell and we just keep going back, there are other option out there ffs.
