Brendan Rodgers Discussion Thread

He should make a huge public statement about the board and walk. Anything less and he's part of the problem.

 

If we don’t pull something out of the bag
He will walk this week no doubt

 

He should be on a video call to Sky Sports news at 11pm announcing his resignation and telling every detail of the disaster thats happened.

 

He'll not walk so long as he's getting paid. No better than the * above him

 

Just walk tonight, he doesn’t deserve this *, he should leave tonight and let everyone know about the disaster that’s been allowed to unfold this summer.

 

Why should he walk away with * all when the issue is clearly the snake * above him?

 

If he was complicit in all of this he wouldn't keep publicly calling things out during the open window..

You're right that hes being paid very well and there could be an element of coasting it out but he could go elsewhere for the same or more money and far less hassle..

 

I don't think he walks unless the huns catch up. If he does leave before the season is up it's because he's lagged off the board and they get rid but pay him to the end of the season.

 

I’d love that, but why would he throw away £3million?

May as well give it to Rodgers instead of HMRC.

 

He has absolutely nothing to gain from staying here. Certainly doesn't need the money

Make a statement and walk Rodgers.

 

Think hes * if we dont get players in here because its clear we badly needed the transfers to try recharge the team.

Hes not going to change anything himself so we are prob stuck in a race with the huns as to who can drop the fewest points while playing poorly.

The board will bear the brunt of the responsibility but Rodgers wont escape either. Hes going to be tainted.

 

Genuinely some of our supporters are demented when they're trying to hang the clear failings of the board on Rodgers.

 

He's not performing very well as our manager...very scattergun.

Johnny Kenny and Shin would have caused them far more problems on Saturday.

 

This is 100% his last season here.

I doubt he'll walk any time before May.

 

While I think some of his tactical ideas are dubious, when the board is happy to sell most of your top scorers and not bring anybody in the manager can't be left to blame.

No way I could click "like" for this, but I agree 100%... He's been shafted as a coach, we've been shafted as fans, the players have been messed about as pros... It's been an absolute horror show of how NOT to run a business for about a year now... In any other business the board would be sacked, and charges would be brought for gross negligence... It's * GRIM!

 

This window is like the boards revenge on him for leaving first time.

 

My major problem with Rodgers is that he responds to the board like a base worker in a company would respond to * treatment, by pulling the handbrake and working to rule... Which is fine if it's just a company with shareholders to concern yourself with, but his strategy directly impacts the fans who 100% support him on funding and planning and does nothing to the board and shareholders who are pocketing the club and fans monies...
