Daizen Maeda

Got stuck in at times for sure, but not at his best yet. Rushed a few passes when there were opportunities to release others but hopefully he’ll come good after the break.

 

Thinking out loud here....

We have got in Balikwisha and looking to get the boy from Hammarby who's also a LW, we are looking at the boy from Palace to play RW and we already have Forrest and Jota ( who can play either wing).

BR has said he wants 2 strikers in today.

Are we setting up to sell Maeda? Brentford like him and need a player and they have cash to spend.

 

Nobody is paying what we'd want for him. He not good enough technically. Tbh its probably the best time to sell, if our board had any type of pre planning and new people in. However removing him aswel, would drop us about 80 goals of players sold from last year. Thats absoloutly mental sabotage and deserves someone to get the sack over.

 

Jota’s out for half the season and the style of injury he has usually takes a good 6 months to fully recover from after being ok enough to play. Jota will play this season, but can’t rely on him this season at all. If he comes back, hits the ground running, thank *.

Forrest and Yang are vying it out for a place, Yang’s going by all accounts. We have brought in one winger, who can play both sides. We have Maeda as an option.

Forrest shouldn’t be counted as an option, just happy when he can be one, off the bench certainly not as a starter.

Rodgers has made it clear he doesn’t view Maeda as a striker, his form last season there doesn’t change that. He done that wherever the * he was on the pitch, never done 90 minutes up front and when he’d move from there, he was exact same goal threat. That form was unsustainable, always was going to be. He’s rock bottom form at the moment, and him up front, it’s an option when it would be suited to the game not what he is.

2 strikers another winger in, we’re still short for wingers, with Maeda freed up for us to keep as a winger.

That’d be us going out the window with Maeda, Balikwisha, another winger brought in. And Forrest as a wild card. Nygren as an emergency.

 

Wissa on the move, were there not rumours they had lined up Daizen as his replacement?

 

Any of our players should be happy if Acrington Stanley came in for them at this point. Would not worry about him being Wissa's replacement

 

The way he has started the season I would bite someone’s hand off for a decent offer.

 

Wouldn't shock me if Brentford put a bid in after losing another striker.

We can hose them as they have a tonne of cash. Either that or give us Ajer back and pay his wages for us

 

No one would pay more than 15 for a guy who can't trap a ball or score a 1 on 1..

Best we can hope for right now is a straight loan to an open league like Serie A..

 

Guy in work claiming he's going to EPL team in lower half today. Guess that would line up with Brentford.

 

That's Wissa finally away to Newcastle.....just sayin...

I think stuttgart will come in for him. Made huge money on woltemade. Signed oh and I think they’ll test the waters with a £20 mil bid for maeda

 

Desperately need him to rediscover his form of last season

 

I’m really not looking forward to him being our ST now with the tactics that we are currently playing. Can see he’s been asked to come deep and link play. I’ve never seen a more awkward player trying to do that.

 

Watch him pick up an injury during the break. It's that sort of season.

Didn’t make the Champions League so I guess we don’t have to worry about the beatings there, might be a little embarrassing if we get some in the Europa.

The donkey, well I might wish that we’d have kept him.

The quality of this squad is shown by us not making the CL against a bunch of carrots.

 

We'll never see the Maeda of last season again, a freak run of form, or like kuhn playing for a move

 

I hope everycunt play for a move this season. Only hope we have in them pulling anything off
