    We should, but won’t, go in with a higher offer at the last minute, and see if Anderlecht accept it. Player could insist he wants to go to Ajax, but unfortunately he isn’t selling himself.

    Offer Anderlecht enough that they put their foot down with Dolberg. He would probably just reject our contract offer, so we’d have to throw stupid money at that as well - but it’s the only slender chance we’ve left ourselves.

    This is what happens when you lowball so near the end of the window.

    If we are gonna lose out at least make Ajax pay through the nose if we are offering 12 million euros and Ajax are offering loan then 10 million surely anderlecht would prefer him to go to us

    It isn't about Anderlecht at this point.

    Dolberg wants to go to Ajax. Far easier foe him to move his family across the border to Holland as well and a city he knows.

    If they didn't accept Ajax offer he will just refuse anything we try and then they'll be able to sign him tomorrow when the Dutch window is still open.

    We've absolutely * this due to how slow we have went and low balling. Again.

    Normally I never do this, and hate when folk suggest it, but I'm closing this thread.

    Might be selfish but it's absolute torture. If the Ajax deal collapses then tag me or something. I honestly don't think this staying open is gonna do any of us any good.
