The Old Firm match between Celtic and Rangers ended 0-0 on Sunday. Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said afterward: "We need someone else to fill the attacking position. I hope that player arrives within the next 24 hours." He didn't name any names, but Rodgers clearly has Kasper Dolberg in mind. That's the priority for the Scottish champions, especially since Adam Idah is on his way to Swansea and was already out of the squad.

Celtic submitted an initial offer for Dolberg to RSCA on Friday and quickly followed up with a revised and increased offer. To no avail: the two bids failed to convince the Purple & White. The Danish top scorer also remained undeterred. According to our information, the initial offer was even more than twice as low as Anderlecht's initial proposal.

The Scots, however, are adamant that Kasper Dolberg will still join them. Celtic is currently preparing a third, increased offer. Whether that will be enough remains to be seen. Dolberg is still attracting interest from other clubs. Germany's Borussia Mönchengladbach has also been mentioned, but that interest is reportedly only on the fringes. No one has officially approached RSCA except Celtic. The striker knows he will have to make a quick decision if Anderlecht does reach an agreement. However, Dolberg has always made it clear that he won't sign just any contract. If all the pieces don't fit, it's still possible he'll stay at least until January. The ball is primarily in Celtic's court.

Yep. Knew they'd lose to USG and fail to punt Dolberg. Warned the Anderlecht forums but they didn't listen.

Just checked the main newsoutlets, they both have a ‘live-deadline-day’ feed, but nothing at all on Dolberg. Both ways… and because its Anderlecht, any news would have broken immediately…
