Those wanting Ange back should remember he'd drop us for an EPL club before you could say inverted fullback. :67:

Celtic are not a draw for top managers.

Have to fight with the board EVERY season to get money to spend. Wait 6 months + to get in replacements for your best players.

Nobody in their right minds would find that attractive

I think defensively we are better, particularly in Europe (Dortmund aside). It's like the champions league games seem to get him fired up and he then switches on to being the elite coach he is.

League games he seems to think are too easy and just dials it in. There's plenty of games that haven't been easy and probably more than usual this season and we could really do with him fully engaged but his arrogance takes over and he just thinks * it I don't need to try here, and similar to his last spell after a couple of years that is now transferring onto the playing squad.

We've been incredibly flat this season so far..

Between him and Brendan, only one of them left us midseason for an EPL club, and it wasn't Ange :fear:

I don't think we always need a ready made top manager, but one that is climbing the ladder and eager to impress, the Celtic gig is still an attractive one for the right man, even if we are used as a stepping stone, as long as it benefits us for 2 or 3 seasons that's all that matters.

Maybe he did and that's why he then used plan B and won the Europa league

It's nothing to do with nostalgia and Iv stated numerous times I'm not particularly interested in having him back but it's frustrating to watch a lot of the sale players who played such an exciting brand of football now playing such dull boring *

If he watched us in Europe this season he'd probably be asking exactly the same question of the current manager.

Freshen up the starting eleven with some quality and I think we will see plenty. We did last season. In fact, it was some of the best football we’ve seen in a very long time. Rodgers looks completely fed up, and I don’t blame him. That will no doubt be having an impact on the players in my opinion. His demeanour in interviews is rotten, but I can understand why.

We didn’t have players to play Plan A, let alone Plan B.

To be expected when you let a team get stale to be honest. It’s no great shock.

So would anyone though. And if he did it would only be because he had done a good enough job to warrant interest from the EPL.

No issue whatsoever if someone wants to leave when they have the opportunity to as long as they do a good job when they are here.

Wasn't clear what Plan A was really - but I do think we should have had enough in the squad to win midweek. Rodgers deserves praise for how he had us playing up until the CL exit but since then he's not been effectively managing the team in my opinion.

Plan A would have been the same as it was in Europe last season. Unfortunately, we had a total lack of wide and striking options to play it. Losing Johnston for Ralston is hampering us big time as well to be honest.

Theres only so long he can live off the performances going back almost 10 months ago now, before he needs to examine his approach.

It's a given that you won't get a manager to stay beyond 3 seasons max, as you say if they're successful then it becomes impossible to keep them just like a player who would attract attention. I get the whole thing with Rodgers and understand that he will always carry that baggage because of his departure first time around, but this season we need to be careful not to shoot ourselves in the foot.

The huns are in poor shape right now, if we can get our act together we can have a really good season, the constant negativity only benefits those that want to see us fail.
