He has really lost his way, time on the bench may get him focussed and motivated again.

Hopefully we get wingers and a striker sorted this window. January we really need to either get a replacement in for McGregor or shape needs to change to actually allow our midfield to function. Ideally both.

I don’t think he’s completely done as others have said but it’s clear from next season onward he needs to start being phased out of the starting lineup every week. Maybe even in January we can start looking at other options but I reckon it will be left until a new manager is in the job.

I think he still has a role to play but not if we keep him in the same position as he's a man down.

Worst I've seen him today, looks a pale shadow of former self with weight of world on his shoulders.
The late dispossession was an absolute shocker.

Needs more support and rotation - and not to be playing at #6!!!

A huge part of the problem, dropping in between cbs demanding the ball then pointing where its gone.

zero awareness today, legs seem gone.

CMG looks a shadow of himself atm

He’s been constantly overplayed for years, and possesses loss of creative talent

I’d like to see Bernardo given a go as DCM

They say the midfield is the engine room of the team. He’s more of a back boiler.

Can’t mind the last time he had a good game against the zombies. The position we play him against them doesn’t work.

When’s the last time he had a game in which he dominated the midfield full stop? First half of last season?

When is the last time we could say that about anyone in there, as well. Worrying.

    Rodgers surely must see it.

He’s holding the team back and dragging them down as the supposed leader. He’s the one that used to take the game by the scruff of the neck and set the pace, now he’s scared to run 5 yards with the ball our pass forward in our own half.

Get Bernardo in there for a run of games.

He'd be fine if he was surrounded by fast dynamic players, where he could let them do the running and chasing and just dictate the play, but the entire team is ponderous just now and it makes him look worse. But as it stands he shouldn't be playing 2 games a week and needs more time on the bench.

He is the one tasked with dictating the game. The tempo and pace really starts with him.

Love Callum but again we have no succession plan. We should have someone who can play some of the games for him and either rest him or move him up one. We will be here next year, when he’s a yard slower etc etc and be no closer to a replacement.
