Shame as I really do think there's a player in there, but he's flattered to deceive far too often.

Deserved more gametime recently but I think he's nailed on to leave in January.

I think if he can’t get game time in that midfield questions need to be asked about why he signed.

He was here on loan for a full season before we paid quite a lot of money.

 

I could see him leave he seems so far out the picture the now.

 

Would like to see him replace McGregor in the easier SPL games.

 

He should start our next game as none of the midfielders are doing enough right now.

Another talent who the manager has failed to get the best out of. He'll move on and become integral to a team that can actually utilise him properly.

 

Same as he did at Benfica and Pacos De Ferreira.....

Yep.

Spent the the guts of £15m on Idah and Bernardo after both had considerable time on loan. Now both could be on their way 12 months later.

Might as well move on. Pointless taking up a place in squad, he 6th choice and we need either a creative player or ball winner

 

Was very surprised he didn't at least come on today. Our midfield was so leggy after the midweek game it seemed and Barnardo is fresh very surprised he didn't at least play the last 25 minutes or so. You have to think that yes he may be away in January or maybe even tomorrow who knows but odd that he didn't come on today at all.

 

Didn’t Bernardo sign for about £3m?

 

Yes. Original ask was £6m but we passed and then went back at £3m eventually.

 

You gotta think he's been on the phone to his agent this week.

Can't be happy with his game time.

Over the course or a season I think we really do need 6 good midfield options. As we seen last season when Bernardo or Hatate got injured 5 isn't enough bcoz you then only have 1 midfielder on the bench and you end up having to play ur left back at cm when trying to win a cup final. The difficulty is when all 6 are fit 1 is gonna get limited game time. It's the same reason Iwata left last summer.

 

I can’t wrap my head around our use of him. Been dropped last season when he was in form and kicking on. Would appear less than he should after then, and was showing that he should be used more keeping his form for a short while of that treatment. Lost form, understandably in my eyes with how he was being used, got injured when McGregor was and he was a massive hole in the squad him also being out.

And it was very evident, majority agreed about that. Terrible luck to pick up the injury at that point. And when he came back, couldn’t get momentum back, because again you need the time to gain momentum.

Rarely seen so far this season and when he got a start, while clearly rusty, definitely fighting for form with the limited chance offered I thought he was very positive and done well. Not what he’s fully capable of doing but I didn’t expect that from him with the circumstances he’s under.


And the thing I can’t wrap my head around with it, he’s a very Rodgers type player. Both type of Brendan Rodgers style, he can be very neat, tidy, safe, keep it and recycle and no risks taken. Which is absolutely * Rodgers style for large periods in charge here. He’s also exactly the type that Rodgers was bemoaning he wants in his after match interview. Drives forward, presses, positive passing, goal threat and creativity. He needs guided into that form. And the way we’ve seen that from him, most of the time we have, isn’t an option anymore. He’d go to Portugal u21’s, play with freedom. Create something or score and come back, tail up, flying and bring that to us.
