Actually thought he was one of our more positive players. Held the ball up well at points and was absolutely robbed of a few assists by the hun in black.

The criticism of him not having a proper go at Tav at times is valid though, hopefully that will come when he’s been with the team a bit longer etc.

You're talking pish. Guy signed 48 hours ago, trained twice max and that's him ready to be fully up to speed? Do one. Nonsense.

Yeah I thought the same. He was at least trying to move the ball forward and make a nuisance of himself. Such a low benchmark to judge a player but still more than what most of our midfield do.

You're the one talking pish by stating Yamal would have struggled today and the classic ridiculous Henrik reference to his first game with us

No excuse as to why he failed to attempt to go past their RB even once!

That's nothing to do with two training sessions, signing 48 hours ago or the performance of his team mates elsewhere

He had maybe 3 real 1v1 opportunities? Might be wrong. My opinion is he should have taken him on at least once, but the occasion probably got the better of him more than anything.

Also, although Rodgers wants him to take him on… I can’t help thinking that it’s a coaching decision to recycle the ball if something isn’t on. Sinclair used to do it all the time. It’s like they * what’s in front of them and if it’s not on they turn and pass inside or backwards.

    It’s always been an issue.

I could name dozens of players who had poor debuts that went on to have great careers. Thought I'd pick our best ever player to make the point clear. You're absolutely at it and talking out your *.

Where's the footage of that game against Hibs, one slack pass that was punished but I'd bet my house Henrik showed plenty promising signs of quality that day, world class players always do

    Right.

So why we talking about Yamal?

Henrik took plenty time to become world class here. He had a poor debut. 2 facts.

Haha wit? Am probably the most forgiving poster on here in terms of giving new signings time to settle in :56:

Because the poster said that any player signed two days ago no matter how good they were would have struggled today and I disagreed

One slack pass that was punished but how did he play that day overall otherwise? (I was too young to remember)

You can't judge it off today. The whole squad were not positive in their football and it's an OF game. The performance wasn't a howler or anything, just on a par with the lack of imagination and drive on show elsewhere on pitch.

See if you're too young to remember the game why are you arguing the fact he had a poor debut? Do you think we signed him as a world class player? We didn't. He developed into one in his 7 years here. He was far from it when he signed.

As I already said, besides the slack pass, I'd bet everything I own that he showed plenty promising signs outside of that one poor moment, highly doubt he was looking like Adam Idah when trying to control the ball and move with it that day against Hibs

So you don't remember the game, haven't watched it and here you are trying to justify that he showed plenty. An absolutely pointless discussion.

I was there. He didn’t. We were all wondering what sort of total donkey we’d signed. Always been quicker to give new guys the benefit of the doubt since, and that’s how we need to approach Balikwisha; not acting like the FM/FIFA expert and leaping to conclusions about elements of his game.

Aye but lets keep it realistic and use facts/critical thinking to judge today.

You and me both know that he didn’t mean Yamal… we also have no idea if Yamal would have done well today.

I bet Tottenham fans would have though Moore was going to have a field day today, he was worse than Balikwisha. Far worse.

Your obviously not. You’ve just proven that.
