Just snatched at a few shots and was unlucky with Engles being a split second early with his run. His runs, energy and strength all very good plus he actually won a header.

Sadly he's not very technical. We urgently need a footballer up front who has got technique and composure. Jota being injured was such a gutpunch.

Don’t need to be technical to bang in the goals, Maeda proved that.

Reckon with match sharpness he could end up being very useful to us. He could end up a bit maeda like, all energy and industry but can sometimes frustrate with a slight lack of technical ability.

The sheer energy and pace from him though is likely to see him succeed I think.

He created far more at the weekend than idah has all season so far

I love Daizen to bits, but I think last season was possibly his purplest patch. Look at him fluffing the chance against Kairat the other night. He might be carrying a knock, but we need better footballers.

No one on planet Earth gives more than Daizen, but we do need a balance - not just an entire front 3 of runners with questionable ability.

Maeda, Yamada and Yang. Not good enough.

He was on his last legs at that point, normal Daizen would run that through for an easier finish but didn’t have anything left after the knock.

Kyogo missed plenty chances like that, it’s not down to technique but composure & confidence. We’ve had a multitude of technically gifted strikers over the years that have missed easy chances because they are low in confidence or just lack that composure.

Thought he was good, the one bright spark. Uses his body very well.

Definitely. Strong, clever, worked hard, harassed their backline, held it up when he could. He put some of his team mates to shame.

His 2nd touch is a tackle, uses his body but fk me unfortunaltely uses it without success with ball. Terrible touch.

Guess you get what you pay for.

Uses his body well and works hard.

Would be amazed if he's remotely good enough, though.

Made a difference but didn’t look overly threatening tbh. Fluffed his one chance when put through with a * touch.

I honestly think that's the first time I've actually noticed he's been on the park. He was winning the daft free kicks that we give away every 2 minutes

If he got a better touch of forrest pass, we go 1 up. Could be the pass, probably his touch.

    The one bright spark.

He really shook their defence up when he came on, won foul after foul off them, and turned the momentum of the game for us.

He looks perfectly suited for these games.
