I see some of our defenders coming in for critcism. They are defending well on the whole bar an early Scales lapse for the Miovski dive but he's won a number of big headers and defended his line well after this.

We've been under the cosh because we can't get the ball out and that failing lies on midfield up. McGregor taking no responsibility on the ball again, Hatate not doing enough. Engels seems to be one at least trying the most and I'm not a fan of his.

Nygren has been desperate, he has thrown himself to ground a number of times with little contact and looked for frees, he's afarid to go at the full back because he's not pace. He'd be first to get hooked for me for either Forrest or Yamada. Maeda has had no service and Balikwisha has been tidy on the ball but not really giving us too much.

I think we need to start going route one, every single time Schmeichel gets the ball they know its going to our centre halves and it will go wrong eventually. Hit it long a few times and it might catch them out over the top or at the very least keep them guessing.

Huge improvement needed. I'd take a draw right now.

There is just no fight in this team at all. Little mouse-hearted dweebs the lot of them. Midfield in particular is just an embarrassment. Engels and Hatate can both get to *. I'd be happy to never see either of them again if I am honest.

Maeda looks a little more motivated today, but usual terrible touch and taking too long on the ball. All of our players take 3-4 seconds too long to move the ball on. One of the reasons for that is that NOBODY is showing for the * ball as they are all SHITEBAGS!

And Rodgers and McGregor (and to a lesser extent Tierney) should be going through these little mincy * like a bad curry, but I bet they are all having a wee calm Brodge chat about being brave on the ball. I am so sick of this same performance against these clowns every time! They are *! Brugge could have been 8-0 at HT the other night.

 

I'm sad to say it but Tierney looks a shadow of his former self, he has lost a yard or two of pace.

 

Poor decision that one a few min ago when Maeda got clobbered, but generally speaking, he has been fine. The issue with this game has not been the referee.

It's been dire from Celtic. I get that there has been flack from the fans, re the transfer activity, but seriously, I cannot fathom what Rodgers was doing all summer, and especially during pre-season. There is nothing new, the issues that had crept in during the back end of last season are all still there. Teams, from Killie to Kairat have figured out ways of playing against the same formation and tactics that BR has persisted with, without any tweaks or changes and makes it incredibly predictable. A month into the season, and the team is still flat, lacking energy or creativity, and running on fumes.

It is 1 day short of an entire calander year since Celtic actually beat the Ipox shower of *, and this is the 5th game against them in that time. How is BR so intransigent to identifying the issues or stubborn in accepting things need to change?

He's been awful but there's been a definite malaise the players are not enjoying the football, I'm thinking most of this is down to Rodgers, need to get rid of him, his conservative approach is killing us

Getting Lennon covid season feelings. No urgency and overwhelmed by the task to adapt the tactics.

With Lennon we waited until it was too late to fire him even though most fans saw after the Cluj games that it isn't working and it won't improve. Rodgers had know 4 chances to adapt his tactics or prepare the team for this fixture and he failed miserably.

If we still manage to win the league it will be because the dross in the league actually have figured out how to play the huns. Only the most expensive manager can't firgure it out.

 

I agree with what you're saying but I'd hold McGregor most responsible, he's the player there hiding the most. He should taking that ball off Scales and CCV - not leaving it to a pair of centre backs who aren't the greatest on the ball to build the play. He's running around there pointing at them to pass to anybody else but himself. Put someone else in that 6 role if McGregor doesn't have the character for it.

 

We could leave the front three in the stand and they would not be missed other than maeda running. Losing every tackle and spending more time passing the ball back to defence than we are going forward. Anyone laughing at rangers have not watched us in the last three games.
But regardless of form the same * players get picked every single game with maybe one change.

Scales and Ralston are rotten,utter garbage.
Calmac and reo might as well be on holiday.

We will be lucky to get a draw today, look forward to no changes at half time and make some pointless subs after 80 mins and for BR to say we didnt do this and that and this and that yet its the same players that didnt do it the last 3 games.

The thing for me that hurts the most these days there is no excitment anymore. No fast flowing exciting attacking football.
Everything is walking pace and takes days to even get up the pitch.

 

Ref has killed us, 2 free kicks on the edge of the box on Cal and Engles. Every 50/50 free kick to them and every dive free kick to them. Maeda dragged by the shirt and elbowed, freekick to them. We have been * but ref has dictated then game.
