Clearly there are issues in the basics of how we play that urgently need repair.

There is nothing positive to take from that. We have made Russel Martin's mob of fairies look competent. That fact we haven't even tested Butland is a disgrace. No attempt from anyone to make a run, no one trying a shot on goal.

That's three absolute pish managers that have bested Rodgers. He had quality in Kyogo and Matt O'Reilly to bail him out before but now you can see his shortcomings on display. Go look at his stats. He has played almost exclusively as a winger before signing for us.

We need changes here - will he make them though? Nygren has been dreadful, Engels similar and Balikwisha looks * so far. Defence been solid, at least.

As much as Nygren might like playing RW, it just won't work with Ralston too slow to bomb past. We haven't had any creativity from the midfield, either. I'd bring Bernardo on, and move McGregor up. Yamada could be useful for his movement.

The positives: generally good defending of set pieces, but the volume of what Rangers are getting will mean they'll get some of those right. Luckily for us, their goal was offside. Their wide men aren't terrorising us either.
