We probably won't but I'm hoping that a couple things come out of nowhere.

E.g. an additional winger on loan even from down south. We need numbers.

Dolberg and Tounekti wouldn't be enough. And would still leave us incredibly without a right winger.

Agree to disagree mate, but there's a reason he was still playing and scoring in the EPL last season. He's looked after himself.

Do I think we'll get him or even go for him? No.

On Saturday evening, sources close to the club confirmed to The Celtic Star that the club were hoping to add three players before the end of the window. This is expected to be in the forward line and could be two strikers and a winger or two wingers and a new striker.

Dolberg, an out and out right winger and one who can play across the front would be fine tbf.

I'd rather have Dolberg and 2x wingers.

Think we could run to January with him, Yamada and Kenny.

It shouldn't be hard to get 2 strikers and 2 wingers but we've made it so.

Not to mention we have Maeda. Sadly, it seems Nygren is seen by the board as Kühn's replacement.

Would suggest that for full backs we are gonna rotate in Ralaton often to give KT a rest and move the Uruguay lad between both left and right.

Centre backs we Defo need better, but number wise we have enough, just not the quality in my opinion. Trusty, CCC, scales, murray, JSP.

Midfield is stacked, but missing an actual defensive midfielder. 6 players who all in theory want to be the same sort of player that hybrid 8-10, but we play them all as an 8 except CalMac we try to play as a 6 when he is still the hybrid 8-10
Annoying, as the balance is wrong in the trio, but the numbers are there.

Out wide and up top- 3 by Monday (that doesn't include MAB already in) is a healthy number, let's just hope the quality is good.
Dolberg absolutely and if we get rid of Idah to lessen the bloat of sub par strikers even better. I'd be happy to run with dolberg, shin and Kenny and see which of the backup two can step up. Maeda can always help when needed

Out wide, Maeda and MAB left with Jota back second half of season allows us then to reasses the left side and the ST option (if we want to move Maeda forward again to cover). Right side Defo needs another key player though.

I'd be happy enough with a right winger of real quality giving us This player and Forrest as cover and knowing that MAB can cover if needed and there is also Kenny who can slip out that way.

I'd "accept" 2 in that case, but 3 would be nicer to give more depth or even to be a number 10 come secondary striker (more a Rogic type position)

Probably see a couple of outgoings

Not including Idah and possibly Yang

Odah and Yang - if we do the above business of at least dolberg and another winger, I'd be more than happy with.
Forrest as a sub option is absolutely still fine, so long as the quality ahead of him is good

Vardy wouldn't score more than 2 goals in the games against St Mirren, Aberdeen, Falkirk and Livi? Are you sure?

Kenny has one goal (against Livi). Maeda has one (against Falkirk).

I'm sorry, but Vardy would walk into our team. And score more than the rest combined so far. Comfortably.

Marcelo can play RB as well as LB

Can also play on the wing so he’s versatile

Aye with AJ about 10 weeks out now, we aren't gonna sign another FB in my opinion.

Once AJ returns Sarrachi becomes the rotation with KT and we go from there.

Don’t think even if AJ was fit we’d be looking at the RB position anyway

Dolberg walks into our team, but not Vardy. Vardy was best when Leicester baited teams to expose themselves. In Scotland, the only team we could handle this way are...Rangers. And we have better players for that, the main one being Maeda.

What we struggle with is chance creation, and chiefly in Europe. Vardy wouldn't last longer than 30 minutes, and is a poacher.

Sarrachi has only played 5 games as a right back.

Ideally we get a loan in. But I think we will give Donovan a chance.

Vardy wants teams to be baited out so he can get in behind, like Maeda, and he's a poacher? We fail to create chances so whoever is up front will have to feed on scraps... Much like a poacher?

    Sounds exactly what we need.

Vardy 100% walks into our attacking lineup. No debate to be had there. We've scored 2 goals!

Im not a huge fan of Scales but he and Nygren have been our best players so far this season, so credit where its due.

Then we have CCV, Trusty, Murray, Simpson-Pusey and Welsh still on the books.

I wasn't remotely keen on Vardy when it was first mooted, but it's desperation station now.

Not sure what his character is like, but by all accounts he's been a consummate pro when it comes to keeping himself fit.

If our other strikers could learn from him, that could also be a massive plus.
