I'd argue we need 2x RW. Even a loan with option.

Midfield will need to wait again, for now.

It will be Dolberg or Munteaneu no way we're spending 20 mill on two strikers. No idea what we're doing for a RW literally zero rumours nvm links.

It will be, but I think we'd get Munteaneu for below 10m tbh.

He's went awol apparently. Reckon £8m would do it. Max.

I'd be astonished if we got either Dolberg or Munteanu. Honestly think Idah will stay and we'll get some * panic loan winger and that's it. Think we're headed for comfortably our worst season since covid.

Theres little chance we get more than two players in.

We need a CB, DM, 2 Wingers and a striker.

We'll be lucky to get a winger and a striker.

    I think we do.

I won't be happy seeing Liam Scales starting games in Europe. Which us exactly what we're going to get.

Knowing how slow we are at getting deals completed/announced it is a worry that the Dolberg one looks like it'll run into tomorrow. Means we're needing at bare minimum one RW (two preferably) and another striker if Kenny/Shin/Osmand clearly aren't trusted to be second choice.

That's assuming we aren't signing a RB or creative midfielder and also still sorting loans or sales of those surplus.

If we get most of that done I'd consider it a minor miracle. Just so much wasted time in this window it's baffling.

So we're after 2 strikers if idah goes.

    Dolberg and Vardy

Vardy still hasn't joined the Italian team and we were apparently his preferred destination.

    * no. What a waste of wages would Vardy be.

Not suggesting we do go for Vardy. But wouldn't be surprised if he did still come in

Some of your suggestions are made even more baffling when you'd turn down a player like Vardy.

If Vardy was leading the line today, I'd be 1000 times more confident of taking 3 points come 3pm.

That would be the definition of a panic buy. I honestly have enough trust in our current striker options to coast us through Scottish competitions. I'd rather we spent money on a DM or RW.

Trust in our striking options? They've scored a collective total of two goals in six games.

None of our striking options scored during a penalty shootout!

    You're worse than our Board.

Think he'd be good for us in Europe...

Kenny has scored this season already, and we create more chances in Scotland than in Europe. Europe is a non-starter anyway - the board don't care for it. And Vardy wouldn't be of help there, with his age impacting his fitness. Dolberg may be, but it's the usual haggling from us.

Vardy is probably in better physical condition than the majority of our team, even at 38

Doubt it. He'd be a super-sub for us at most in Europe. In Scotland, where he could last longer, our main issue is our tactics, not the question of who plays up front. More lofted balls over the top or medium/long passes in general would make all of our strikers get more chances.

EDIT: Vardy is also not a tall guy suited to hold-up play.
