Idah must be on a fair wage. Take his and add whatever is needed to it.

We've surely stripped the wage bill substantially this summer.

That's a real roundabout way of saying if a bid is accepted the player and his new team will have to agree personal terms, literally every deal ever.

I’ve already said he still presses the CB’s from the LW. He’s always done it. He doesn’t need to be our striker to do that. So your point is irrelevant.

His technical limitations are a factor in us playing Europa League football this season. If he scores one of his 1v1’s, we are in the CL. He shat the bed both times.

It’s essential we buy a striker and Dolberg is the man we should be going for. Let’s keep it on topic about Dolberg and not just a Maeda discussion. It’s fine mentioning Maeda but your point has to come back round to Dolberg.

They've no European football and haven't won the league since 2016 why the * would we need to convince him...unless he really really likes the city of Anderlecht

Anderlecht is in Brussels which is an alright place for a long weekend but I was bored by the end of it. Only so many beers, waffles and chips you can eat. Glasgow * all over it.

Weird auld Fabrizio Romano hasn’t mentioned anything.

Maybe there’s a gentleman’s agreement since the Scottish journos are already on it.

He’s £35K at Anderlecht so imagine he’ll be wanting at least £40K for moving here. Well within our means especially with moving on so many players and then hopefully Idah & Yang.

Good point. Players repay value by helping the club be successful, winning trophies,.getting used in to CL and the knockout rounds.

That's why this guy is worth the money to do that. Even Idah, ovwr the piece. He's scored some important goals. Especially Bruge last year that took us in to the games against Bayern. Worth a few million to the club.

So the extra on Dollberg, and the hit on Idahs fee will all work out across the piece.

This is his peak years, he will be looking at a decent contract I'd imagine.

We need to get the finger out before we're stuck with the * we've got and let the Huns catch up a bit

We need the Dolberg deal done today as Swansea won't wait on Idah and I can't see us going for Dolberg unless we get Idah money. Even tho we still haven't replaced Kyogo

I’m still, perhaps foolishly, confident that we’ll get him. Even some of the less positive articles & reports feel more like generic, engagement-bait, transfer-window fodder than genuine cause for concern.

If we did hit a roadblock, I wonder if we’d go for Munteanu? I think that was the other link to a striker with some genuine smoke and we were supposedly willing to stump-up a similar fee.

Well within our means, but our board has a hard wage cap for players at 40K. McGregor's the only on that, might even be lower. If Dolberg wants 40K, this will not happen.

Yeah but you'll still get folk calling him a £10m striker and judging him by some higher standard that he should be as good as Sutton and Dembele combined because of it.

I'm happy about the potential of this. He is a bit of class pure dansk creative playmaker type player. But are we too * of an outfit at present to convince that type of player to join us and would we even offer him a fair deal? * knows

I had assumed this was a given when we allowed Idah to travel for his medical

Then you remember it's Celtic and we're incompetent
