He actually looks far more relieved now we're out of the champions league than before..

Looked mad stressed for obvious reasons..

 

To be fair it was right at the start of the window, we had roughly 8 weeks to sort a replacement. Shambles from the board

 

I still don't understand why you can't say listen you can go but help us get through one qualifier, then seal the deal..

Checked before and swear he isn't even a first teamer at Como yet..

Rodgers clearly having a dig at recruitment over the board as well. Says the money is there and backing, and practically says recruitment is too slow. Giving it about Nicholson who should be overseeing that?

Good to see Brendan standing up to board and stopping idah sell til he guaranteed his choice off replacement.
I say they promised him khun replacement once he was sold and they never delivered.

 

Why not mention replacements in when we let Khun Go didn’t get his replacements in before he left same with Kyogo still not been replaced. Pandering to the board someone should have called him out and asked him why wasn’t it the same for these other players? We arguably haven’t replaced O’Riley either

He might just be making a stand now after his reputation took a hit after being knocked out by absolute nobodies on Tuesday. Brendan is a smart man and ultimately puts Brendan first. Either way this is an absolute * shiteshow

 

Nah I genuinely think the board ok’d Idah to leave thinking they could get the deal of Dolberg across the line and * lowballed them.

Im far from effin laughing mate.. this is an absolute clownshow. I mean is there any communication between Rodgers and the board? What in the name of * is going on at the club...

No doubt the board ok'd it, want to be mad not too.

Exactly what we the fans have been saying, it's great to confirm the same from Rogers
Clearly the review of the previous windows didn't happen either.

But how does he not know the answer to those questions? Or is he just unwilling to divulge?

Overall, Brendan clearly making a lot more positive noises and singing the praises of the current stewards of our club.

Is this a desperate final effort to get the last minute signings in or a genuine 'if we fix this together I'll stay'?
Is he just placating fans and distracting from his own shortcomings?
A truly fascinating few days to come.

 

Hopefully his sudden change of tone from utter despondency to birthday card pish means we actually have some real signings in the pipeline.

It would feel a bit ridiculous to come out with such optimism 2 days before deadline and then not sign anyone

 

Regardless of the intentions of his comments (not sure what they are but have a feeling its meant to be a weird "apology" message from the board) - its doesnt sit well and is a hard read seeing him praise the club hierarchy and insinuate its just a small timing issue in an otherwise well oiled machine.

Its still very much a shambles and the latest sending of Idah for a medical only to call him back as we dont have a replacement yet is just more unprofessionalism piled on.

Off the back of one of our very worst European exits it stings.

The club hierarchy cant even bring themselves to release a statement to the fans holding their hands up and admitting a mistake was made.
