The club hadn't got him a centre back to replace Boyata, when it was obvious he'd want out post world Cup. He was right to block that.

Hoping this all works out on both counts. Unfortunately Idah ended up being not good enough which way back when we got him in on loan was my initial thought then. In fairness to him his goals were key in us winning the league that season and then obviously scored the double winning goal against sevco. Last season was ok bagging 20 goals as a back up but he just never kicked on. At the end of the day if this deal gets done the contributions he made more then paid for the 2.5m euro or so difference in transfer fees and it will be the best for him to move on as well as for us. So really hoping this all works out.
