Reading back through the pages that's a lot tougher than a fair amount think.

Roma have done well this summer signing wise, Braga and Utrecht both scoring freely in qualifiying, and that's just our home games. Feyenoord and Bologna pretty rough away ties as well.

Luckily 3 teams also play the huns. So with the usual hun curse where half the teams dies, we should be good.. ofcourse they'll be recovered for us most likely

There's so many qualifiers with the conference now. It's guaranteed some turds scrape the Champions and Europa. Last year we got lucky and drew 2(3) of those teams this year we maybe got one in Sturm. We are also far weaker from players to mentality to stability.

Yes but remember these bigger teams really don't take it too serious until the knockouts. Easier draws imo end up harder in the europa due to that.

I think that's a pretty tough draw. I'd rather have had Roma away and Feyenoord at home as I think that would be an easier 3 points. I think we should be able to get 12 points from that which I think would be enough to see us through. Obviously it could be tougher, but there we didn't get any really easy matches.

That’s a very good point as much as it’s a very hard draw, the likes of Roma and Feyenoord won’t take the league phase seriously.

No, it’s a fact most big names in the Europa don’t take it seriously till it gets to at least the last 16.

Roma didn't last season but I could see Feyenoord taking it seriously. If you get them later when already qualified you'd probably be ok

Jaysus, we need to bring bodies in.

Talk about playing Inamura against Yamal.

I wouldn't give half our squad a run out against those 8 teams.

If we bring in 4/5 players we could be competitive. But if we go into this group stage against these sides with this squad we could be looking at an embarrassment of a competition if we're not careful.

With the current squad I wouldn't put us down for any more than 10 points from those 8 games.

You can qualify with 10 points tbf. That would be competitive.

10 points will be the benchmark, and should be enough to sneak into the playoffs, anything after that depends on how we do in the transfer market before Monday.

If we recruit well, and get in a run of form like we saw in the first half of last season, then we should be aiming for 15 or 16 points, and possibly top 8.
But if we fail to strengthen which is, unfortunately, the most likely scenario, I think hitting 10 points will prove very difficult!

Massive few days ahead of us now which will shape the direction of the club for the rest of the season and beyond!
    Get the * finger out!

The fixture layout will be inportant. A winnable home tie to kick off like against Bratislava last year would give us a real boost and get points on the board immediately.

Ideally looking at a home tie to Sturm Graz or Utrecht to give off.

The problem we might have is we consider ourselves a UCL team that’s dropped down, unlike the Huns that give everything they’ve got in this tournament.

I think how much we prioritise the tournament will be dependent on how the league is going. If in January we have a huge lead, we'd start to take it more important. If it's close we prioritise the league.

I agree, although I meant more subconsciously for the players and staff though.
