Selling Idah should have no bearing on this deal as we needed a striker regardless but knowing us if we dont Sell Idah we will bring in a random punt instead

Griffiths scored a insane amount of goals but he could not cut it in europe. could say the same about many SPL quality strikers. I was one of the guys on here not buying into him when he was at Aberdeen and i think we could see that when he went on to fail at Girona. I get what you are saying but if we want to progress in europe we need strikers of higher quality such as Dolberg.

I might be wrong. Who knows.

The huns could sign Ronaldo and he would fail.

Agree, but that’s the thing our stature as a club and financial position means that we can actually fund this level of player easily. It’s an absolute mystery and a travesty that we don’t. As a club we should be either a lower level CL team or one that can get deep in to the Europa, currently we don’t have a first 14/15 players that can match that. Disgrace actually

Hopefully that’s just mischief making from the media, trying to annoy us as their pet team is in a right state. Wouldn’t believe a word Scottish media say about us.

I get what you're saying mate. Just don't agree that Miovski would fail in Europe. Think he bagged 4 or 5 goals for Aberdeen in the Conference League for example and that would've been with limited chances. Even so I'm not averse to having a striking option that even if he was a little ineffective in Europe, was reliable enough to put teams in Scotland to the sword.

Regardless it doesn't really matter. Not as if we're reported as being in for Miovski anyway. Just a thought from me about the level of player I would like to see as our number 2 striker.

If he goes to the huns he'll be first-choice and I do pray he's a flop. Just canny see it.

Despite his elimination from the Champions League, the Scottish club wants to strengthen itself and is ready to put more than 10 million for the Dane.

The phone call arrived just before Anderlecht's match at AEK Athens. Celtic Glasgow would like to offer the services of Kasper Dolberg.

The Scots were taken out in the Champions League barrages but want

Slowly strengthen their team. Brendan Rodgers appreciates the Dane's profile. His arrival is linked to the departure of Adam Idah.

Looks a far better striker than Idah and can score a free kick.

    I'm all in.

Was going to put that in there tbh. Celtic and set pieces don't mix.

Off topic but Do you think he will go to the huns? I would not care tbh as they are such a mess and it would be a bad move for him, but i find it strange when Thelin came out and said that Miovski would not sign for anyone but Aberdeen in Scotland and a day later he is more or less "done"

    This would be great.

But there's no point signing him unless we are gonna back him up with the required quality to feed him.

Need another 2 wingers and a striker.

Yep agree with you as always.

What i find worrying is that when the DPRK Celtic TV channel presented him they paraded him several times as a winger who can play all across the front 3. Would not surprise me in the slightest if Balikwisha is the only winger brought in and that we bring in a striker so we can play Maeda-Striker-Balikwisha

Personally im being greedy belly, but id triple up in the Kaspers' at the club.

Already have Kasper Schmeichel, then get in Kasper Dolberg and Kasper Hogh.

    But that is never happening

    Morning update from Mark Hendry

Celtic have legitimate interest in Anderlecht striker Kasper Dolberg this transfer window.
The Danish international has emerged as a target for the Hoops who are set to rake in close to £7million for Adam Idah who is close to a move to Swansea City this week.
Idah’s switch to the EFL has come as a shock to both club and player with the Welsh giants coming from nowhere to try and land the Irishman.
But with a few short days left of the summer window, it will leave Celtic desperately short of strikers.
We understand Dolberg has been sounded out by the Scottish champions who are waiting for the Idah move to play out before officially contacting his club, Anderlecht.
They are believed to have already done their due diligence on the attacker earlier this summer.
And now we can reveal that one source has suggested they expect the Belgian club to do business with Celtic at £8m.
Dolberg, 27, is expected to leave after his side failed to make the UEFA Conference League.
He pitched in with 24 goals last season for the club while he already has five strikes in eight this term so far.
Dolberg counts the likes of Ajax, Sevilla and Nice among his former clubs.
