Idah has only ever been a back up striker. Shin and Kenny are likely to share that role.

    Dolberg would he Kyogos replacement.

I think replacing Khun is more important unless we see Balikwisha as that which would be ironic given Rodgers complaining about playing players out of position last week

We aren't paying what it takes to get a striker of Dolberg's scoring record.

We are essentially just swapping him for Idah but I do have my doubts about us paying any kind of money for a 27 year old. We are all about that resell value

Desperation mode has clearly kicked in with some fans when they are crying out for Bowie and Miovski to come in. Surely we should be aiming a wee bit higher than guys like this? All it does for me is give us another striker in the same league as Kenny or Yamada.

I do like Bowie but he has it all to prove yet, let us see how he does this season and then decide if he is worth pursuing at the start of next season.

Just examine Bowie's record for the minute:

Scottish League One - 5 goals in 29 games
English League Two - 5 goals in 37 games
English League One - 9 goals in 44 games
    SPL - 8 goals in 20 games

Is that really the level we are aiming for? I get he has potential but at least let me have his breakout season before we consider paying the £5m+ Hibs will probably demand right now. At least let him put in a 20 goal season before we pay that kind of fee for him.

    Miovski is another one.

32 goals in 77 SPL games, 9 of which were penalties.

Is 23 goals from open play in 77 games for more or less a guaranteed starter who played nearly every minute for Aberdeen that he was available to anywhere near good enough for us? Not to mention he has been a complete flop in Spain

Who will we be crying out for next? Sam Dalby? Simon Murray? Shankland?

If we are in for a striker then they have to be a level above Kenny or Yamada and I see nothing right now that makes me think Bowie or Miovski would move the dial.

I do think Bowie is one worth keeping an eye on though and if he sustains his current form throughout the season then he is someone we should consider moving for.

Dolberg is the pedigree of player we should be looking at here

Dolberg and Bowie though would be forward planning. Dolberg immediate upgrade on anything we have, experienced and will score you at least 20 goals in SPL. Bowie then can be his backup with regular game time and then take over in 2/3 years as number one striker with more experience.

Dolberg, Bowie and one of Kenny/Shin as strikers for me would be a * of a lot better than Idah/Kenny/Shin.

Then we have Maeda/Balik for the left then we go and get a RW with Nygren/Forrest as backup. Then potential thinking is once Jota is back in Jan next year Maeda is sold.

I think they will run with one new striker plus Yamada.
We made a profit on a 30 year old Kyogo, strikers have sell on value longer than a lot of players if they still score, even if some Pace has gone.

Bowie has 8 goals in 20 in the Scottish Premiership, why is his stats in League One when he was 16 at all relevant? He is clearly good enough for our league and is improving all the time. His workrate is excellent aswell, not just his goals. Bowie would do very well for us.

I think the issue is that he's not quite ready to start for us and would barely play and wouldn't develop. Unless the manager had a plan to make sure he got some starts and regular 20-30 minute appearances.

Would love to see the likes of Dolberg and Bowie sign but I'll believe it when I see it. I think we are getting to that desperate stage again (as we do every time) only to be left frustrated again. You'd think we'd learn

His stats are actually comparable to Johnny Kenny's. Let Bowie have prove himself at a decent level for a full season before we annoint him the new Ronaldo. If he's hitting 17/18 league goals this season then he's proven he belongs at Celtic. Paying £5m for a soon to be 23 year old striker with 8 goals in the SPL is a bit mad no?

It is absolutely mental and another reason you never leave most of your business to the end of the window because opportunities like Yang and Idah, players all at the club want to move on come along and we are then unable to do all the deals we need too.

So there is talk about interest in:

    - Maeda - his form suggests his head has somewhat gone, do you keep him and hope he finds form?
    - Trusty - talk if he is fit enough he is for the off.
    - Hatate - rumours of interest and this will be the third summer a late bid comes in and we probably refuse to sell.
    - Bernardo - has hardly had a sniff probably would like a move
    - Welsh, Kenny, Osmand and Inamura - have a combination of loans or sales for the first two to decide on.

Then coming in we still need

    - Striker (at least one)
    - Winger x2 minimum
    - Possibly a centre midfielder
    - Possibly a centre back

Right back I am hoping Donovan is given a run.

Sounds about right to me that

Reo and Daizen I get are happy enough in Scotland for just now

Bernardo I can see going same with Trusty if decent offers come in

Welsh permanent if we can get something done

    Kenny and Inamura Late loans

Bowie was about 17 or 18 when he scored those 5 goals in league one.

He's still only 22. There's more than stats to a player. The reason a lot of people want Bowie is the obvious potential that is screaming out when watching him start this season.

If we wait, he will be out our range. He wouldn't be my choice as a new no1 but I'm having him over Kenny or Yamada.

We need far too many players compared to what we'll sign.

We won't get what we need because we never do

We've had final days before where we sign 3 or 4 players. Genuinely need that.

And that's even if Dolberg and Sarrachi sign by tomorrow.
