I think they will be taking the view that Maeda replaced Kyogo, and Jota replaced Maeda. Flawed logic but I imagine that's how it's being seen.

Will Anderlecht lose Kasper Dolberg (27) now that they've been eliminated from European competition? According to Scottish media, Celtic could pursue the Danish striker if Adam Idah leaves. The latter could join Swansea City. Celtic, who announced Michel-Ange Balikwisha's signing yesterday , will soon play European football in the Europa League.

Anderlecht has an overly deep squad anyway, now that they're only playing domestically. So there are some deals to be had at Neerpede in the final days of the transfer window.

The Scottish transfer market closes at midnight on Monday.

Also being reported by danish news

    https://www.nieuwsblad.be/sport/voe...-meldt-zich-voor-kasper-dolberg/86715774.html

The call came just before the AEK-Anderlecht match. Scottish champions Celtic were eliminated in the Champions League qualifying round by Kairat Almaty but want to strengthen their squad for the Europa League. Coach Brendan Rodgers appreciates Kasper Dolberg's profile as a new striker. He could join Scotland if Adam Idah leaves in the coming days. He is attracting interest from Swansea, among others.

Initial contacts for Dolberg have been made, but no offer has been received yet. According to our information, Celtic is willing to offer around €10 million, including bonuses, for the Danish top scorer. Dolberg has scored four European goals and one league goal this season. In total, he now has 44 goals and 7 assists for RSCA.

The Scottish transfer window closes at midnight on Monday. A year ago, Kasper Schmeichel – Dolberg's compatriot – also transferred from Anderlecht to Celtic. Dolberg's contract with the purple and white runs until 2027.

    Morning update from David Friel

CELTIC are set to hold talks with Anderlecht today over an £8.5million move for Kasper Dolberg.

Brendan Rodgers is ready to sanction Adam Idah’s exit to Swansea City - if the Hoops can bring in a replacement.

SunSport revealed Danish striker Dolberg was on Celtic’s radar as the Irishman heads closer to an exit.

Belgian reports now state that Anderlecht are aware of the Hoops’ interest in the 27-year-old - with talks with expected to begin shortly.

A fee of £8.5m plus add-ons could be enough to bring the Denmark star to Parkhead before Monday’s deadline.

Dolberg has two years left on his deal but cash-strapped Anderlecht are ready to do business after crashing out of the Conference League to AEK Athens on Thursday night.

That has alerted clubs from across Europe and beyond, with the Belgians already rejecting an offer from a Qatari club.

Anderlecht expect big interest in Dolberg - but Celtic are firmly in contention to land him.

Formerly of Ajax, Sevilla and Nice, gifted striker Dolberg has been capped 55 times by Denmark - scoring 12 goals.

Dolberg netted 24 times for Anderlecht last season and has five in eight games this term

Must be something in this then surely.

Still think it's a bit of a joke that we need Idah to leave. I thought we wanted a striker regardless. Once again a risky game to be playing this later in the window.

I hope we’re all prepared for 6pm on Monday when this deal is off because Idah’s move to Swansea has collapsed.

I think he was probably one of the names on the list we’d have went for if we’d qualified for the CL regardless of if Idah left, but now he’s gone we’ll go for him and a cheap backup

Should be splashing out on Dolberg and Miovski and sorting this position out properly.

I never understood the Miovski hype tbh. He scored against us and against a really * hun side 1 or two times, but otherwise its not like hit lit the league up. I would be very dissapointed if Miovski ended up our main striker

I would rather a younger striker in than Miovski.

Bowie would be ideal but doubt Hibs sell. Boving, maybe. Or Ambrosino

Nah he was quality. Terrific movement and a great finisher when he got the service. Also wasn't one or two times he netted against us or the huns - it was 6. He was brilliant and so many on here were saying that when he was here.

No interested in pretending otherwise because he's been linked with the huns. We should be absolutely all over that.

Bowie would be a good option too as a back-up. But Rodgers likes Kenny and don't think he'd be bringing in a young option to take his spot even if it would be an improvement.

Also preferably would rather a couple of proven options myself. Clearly re-sale value means * all to whether we actually progress as a club considering we don't bother our * spending in the important moments. So it's not important to me as a fan either.
