If he's gonna go i want it done basically now.

Can see it a mile off though, goes deadline day and no replacement brought in as we didn't have time lol.

Maeda looks lazy or not trying as hard? Is this the same guy we seen work his * off to press them and make it all the way back to the box to win the ball back, even later in the game?

Lazy is one thing he can never be called and ridiculous people can even suggest that.

We all know his end product quality isn’t the best and he’s likely to miss plenty of easy chances, we all know this and have seen this. My only surprise was he moved the ball to his left for the clear one on one. His left foot is awful.

Last season may have been a blip of form, but the whole team are playing without confidence, I think thats the main issue with him right now. Like the Lennon season, we could all feel it and it does impact players, even good ones.

Shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11 atm, based on his performances this season, but we have nothing else so he'll have to play. The only question is will it be on the wing or through the middle?

He lost us match missing two opening goals at end both matches. How he missed one last night I don’t know how. Was easier to score.
I think time get rid him and take money.
Doesn’t look interested or bothered he missed open goals last night. It’s bad sign.
He giving kyogo vibes from him.
    Doesn’t want be here

Couldn't believe he missed the 1v1 late on in the game. Really has been struggling for the most part in front of goal so far this season. Has been one of my favourite players in the current team but no question he has had a poor start to the season.

A couple of weeks ago we wanted £25 million for him.

    A run of * form doesn’t make him *.

Same can be said for the manager if rumors of his agent talking to forest are to be believed

Leave him out on the wing and in time we will see him get his form back.

His first touch is shocking for a pro footballer. When you see the ball being fired into him when coming short for it you know that’s the end of our possession.

I doubt any club will would be paying £25m for him even at the end of last season. I think £9/10m would be good business but only if we have a replacement this window (yes I know).

Left out on the wing ?

The dummy needs run out of town. He's cost us the Treble and £40M smackers.

Been in awful form since the split. To not take any of the 1 v 1’s at the end of all those games is incredible.

There is absolutely no chance I’m reading people calling him lazy though, surely.

The bottom line is that he has never been a natural finisher and has shown that he doesn’t have the composure or technique in big moments, exemplified in one on ones he has now missed vs Rangers, Aberdeen and now Almaty.

He also shouldn’t be near penalties, his pen in the cup final vs Aberdeen was a total swing of the boot with no conviction whatsoever. Last night was a slight improvement but still no real conviction.

Maeda offers so much to the team and his movement is very good, but he has always been technically erratic and I feel that it was always going to resurface in big moments. We didn’t replace the finishing ability of Kyogo, but that isn’t on Maeda

St Mirren as well he went through late and genuinely didn’t know what to do.

Starting to think he just hit a purple patch last year but still irreplaceable what he gives us.

On Kyogo btw - he was not a good finisher

His work rate is second to none tracking, pressing is on point, it's every other bit of his game that's poor first touch poor, passing poor, shooting poor for an attacker his technique is terrible

Do you not mind his pen against the huns in the semi? Totally fluffed it and got lucky, his technique is awful and should never of been in the first 5 to take a pen in any shootout.

I think he’s totally burnt out though, wish someone would do his running stats for the last 2 years plus miles he’s flown with Japan. We seem to think he’s superhuman but even he at some point will need a decent rest if he’s not already playing through injury.

He can be a key player this year for us but definitely needs more rest, he’ll hit goalscoring form again without doubt.
