Could sign 5 players that would change our season and they're all easily attainable.

Lokonga from Arsenal for £5m
Reiss Nelsson from Arsenal on a LTB for £7m
Jakob Breum for £5m
Jamie Vardy on a free
Louis Munteanu for £8m.

£18m spend right there, with Nelsson purchased next season.

DM, RW, LW, STx2

Add Balikwisha and Sarrachi into that, you're spending £23m, bringing in 7 players and totally changing the dynamic of your squad, especially with Idah and Yang going out the door for say £8m.

RW- Nelsson, Forrest, Nygren
LW- Maeda, Balikwisha, Breum
ST- Munteanu, Vardy and Shin/Kenny.

£17.5m sale of Kuhn, £5m sale of Idah, £3m sale of Yang, £5.5m for Frimpong Sell-on, £2.5m sale of Lagerbielke, £1.3m sale of Tilio. £35m worth of sales made and £26m invested back into the squad.

Too little too late but the club need to start getting a grip.

My opinion is fact though isn’t it, we have lost 40 million, * the co-efficient and for what? A cheap gamble?

Any other walk of life you would be sacked * 40 million pound, let’s not kid ourselves on here.

The fact the club have done it time and time again is because of the league we are in and the Zombies have been *.

7 time out of 9 attempts with various different managers when we have been reactive in the market is now a calculated gamble it’s Mia-management and negligence of the highest order.

The constant in this situation is the board and the people that run the club, the managers and players are not.

He’s been asking for players since the window has opened and we haven’t signed quality first team ready players in the positions we needed, bar KT who is a free in all honesty we haven’t replaced both Kyogo and Kuhns goals and contributions.

Jota is out, and we were left with Yang and 34 year GUMP as our wingers.

it’s not like we haven’t known we needed to strengthen and that’s the problem the gamble hasn’t paid off and some of it lies with Rodgers, yes but if we had that extra quality in we would have won it and got more money.

You cannot say this is Rodgers fault. It’s not all on him.

 

When does the window close in scotland

 

I dont even think the board look at it as a gamble to not spend. They see it as not taking a gamble.

The gamble in their policy would be to spend money in advance.

They view it as being financially prudent by avoiding taking any gambles until we know how much we are going to be taking in.

If we had 0 in the bank maybe you could sympathise with that.

It horrific to do it with 80M in the bank.

 

We normally are OK with spending up to £5M or thereabouts on a player who hasn't been tested with a loan. Now, we aren't even doing that. It's clear that Rodgers' targets last window (Trusty, Idah, Engels) are being used against him in a revenge plot by Lawwell. The piggy bank has been thoroughly hidden away.

 

What in the name of * is actually going on. In addition to the Belgian winger and the LB on loan we still need another winger (preferably 2 especially if Yang is sold) another striker and a central midfielder and ideally a RB but that’s dreamland.

Minimum 3 players on top of the 2 to arrive but really we need 5. We are never getting that in 4 days.

£10m spent once these transfers go through. If we had got through then it would’ve almost certainly just been the £10m too but they would’ve got off easier as we had got through into the CL.

Just shows you what we already know, getting into the CL really doesn’t have an effect on our spending at all. So if you were gutted about not getting into the CL because you expected some big signings then don’t be.

 

Worst part is he’s probably better than anything we currently have at striker. How depressing is that
