He’s also been the worst player multiple times.

 

So has CCV that's the point. Yet we dont scream about replacing him. Our defence is probably the only good thing going for us right now. If we by some miracle buy attackers, then I see no team that will beat us in the europa. Plenty draws

 

When you’re so consistent for so long, people aren’t going to pounce as soon as there’s a couple of mistakes.

Scales has more mistakes in his game and that’s why people have less patience.

He’s one of the most consistent players we’ve had in the last 20 years.

CCV gets his errors glossed over because he was a 6m singing from a Premier League club. Scales gets his errors compounded because he's a 500k signing from the LOI.

There's not a whole difference between them really. If CCV was as good as Celtic fans think a club would have made a £10m+ move for him by now and our board aren't saying no to that.

He's performed well for us domestically but has made plenty of mistakes in big games too, little different to Scales really.

Scales has been MOTM in several European games. Im not saying hes perfect but He's an easy scapegoat for some.

As for CCV im not doubting or questioning his ability or past performances but at the moment he is not playing well. How long do we wait to criticise him because of his form 2 years ago?

 

Rodgers wants his team building out from the back more and holding onto the ball so its not hugely surprising that CCV has looked less impressive. Hes not very good on the ball and if hes asked to be in possession for large periods of time hes going to make mistakes.

He built his reputation with us as a strong and reliable defender.

 

Just do what you’re told and stop making things up.

No mate I used it as an example.. hes been our best player since he came here IMO but the last 6 months has not been good and the last 2 games hes been shocking. Theres no getting away from it.. I'm saying if he continues to under perform how long back do we go to excuse current form?

 

And that's it he is a strong commanding defender and is being asked to play as a midfielder at CB,

Plenty of examples of mistakes he makes that get glossed over because it's CCV. He came in for very little blame last year for the Igamane goal when it was a shocking piece of defending. If Scales done that he would have been slaughtered.

 

So is Scales though who gets slaughtered for his distribution when he's been asked to do McGregor's job for him.
