Personally I would prefer Miovski over Idah but I don’t think he’s that far ahead of him so I don’t really see the point … If we’re bringing in a striker I would want someone who could be nailed on as our starting striker.


Unfortunately a 38 year old Vardy would be light years ahead of what we have atm.

 

Ya, I see what you’re saying, but I am inclined to think you’re giving Idah a bit too much credit there (albeit inadvertently, lol).

 

To be fair I have been asking myself recently if we would be better off giving Hoopy, Anton Rodgers or a cone a starting place over starting Idah

 

If we got Vardy and Miovski and Idah left I would be ok with that

Rodgers was grinning in the press conference today when asked if he had any news about signing players. He looked excited - like he was thinking, just wait until you guys see who we've signed. Made me think Vardy is on the way. Would be a typical Rogers type signing. Ex EPL player that he knows well, and who can pass some experience on to the younger players and bring a bit of excitement.

 

Vardy gives a proven scorer for a year to assess Yamada and Idah and see if they'll do enough to be the main option. Idah is already on exceptionally thin ice.

Vardy is really getting closer to @USCremonese. There were very positive contacts between the parties today: the player has shown complete openness, his confidence is growing more and more.

 

Couldn’t blame him for a move to Italy, he’s missing out on Pizza crunches and Buckie though.
