So if we qualified they were gonna go all out with 5 mill for a go ahead eagles midfielder? Lol..

That's the kinda level we were waiting on and the height of our ambition. Middle of the road Eredivsie player who would walk to sign for us anyway..

    Jokers..

So the record is running with we may reignite our interest in the Go Ahead Eagles player, should we sell Yang, in order to RAISE FUNDS for the player.

Seriously, with 60, 70 or 80 million sat in the * bank!!!!

    This club man, ffs

Their cataclysmic failure to qualify for the Champions League appears to have wrought havoc on Celtic's transfer plans – but there's still plenty of comings and goings expected before next week's deadline.

And one star who looks set to be offski to make room is winger Yang.

It was reported earlier that after their exit to Kairat Almaty last night torpedoed a £42m pay day and sent Celtic tumbling into the far less lucrative Europa League, Brendan Rodgers' plans to add another winger after Michel-Ange Balikwisha had taken a major blow.

Jakob Breum is said to no longer be on the table as things stand, but that could of course change if funds can be raised by moving players on.

South Korean winger Yang is one of the obvious dispensable players and he is reportedly a late window target for cash-rich Birmingham City where he could reunite with Kyogo.

The English Championship side haven’t been shy in shopping north of the border since the arrival of former Hoops coach Chris Davies as boss.

Sky Sports and others report the 23-year-old has emerged as a target for City late in the window.

Balikwisha is still on his way, as is left-back Marcelo Saracchi, and we understand the plan prior to their Champions League humiliation was to add at least one more winger – and perhaps another striker beyond that.

Our man Michael Gannon suspected even before last night's catastrophe that the latter may only happen if interest in Daizen Maedafirms up and it may be that the transfer vultures gear up to take advantage of Celtic's weakened negotiating position in the days ahead – though it would still take a mega offer to tempt them to part with last year's player of the season.

If they were to move on Maeda for big bucks then other striker targets could be revisited.

Slovan Bratislava's David Strelec has been of interest in the past while Lorient's Sambou Soumano has been floated.

They'll obviously be running damage control, distraction, deflection, etc. Good luck with that.

Someone needs to lose their job over this £40 million mistake and I mean the person/ people responsible. That may include Lawwell and Rodgers (I personally don't think it's likely, but I'll reserve judgement for now); but it definitely includes some person or persons a lot higher than Brendan Rodgers and Peter Lawwell.

If we can do this between now and the end of the window, I'd be content and it'd recover a lot of faith.

    Outgoings/Sales
    • Idah - Loan/£3m
    • Yang - £2m
    • Kenny - Loan
    • Inamura - Loan
    • Welsh - £500k
    • Osmand - Loan
    Incomings
    • Balikwisha (£5m)
    • Saracchi (Loan)
    • Striker (£7m)
    • Right Winger (£5m)
    • Left Winger (£3m or Loan)

We would ship off a lot of dead weight, have a decent squad (CB and MF still need to be addressed, but that is not as urgent), and would, to the board's delight, end up with a positive net spend.

SWANSEA CITY are eyeing a move for Celtic striker Adam Idah.

The Championship club are chasing a new No9 as they build for a promotion push.

Celtic spent a massive £9million to bring Idah in from Norwich City last summer - but he's struggling for form.

The Hoops could consider selling or loaning him - IF a replacement can be found in the coming days.

New Swans boss Alan Sheehan wants to bring fellow Irishman Idah to Wales - if the 24-year-old fancies the switch.

Celtic, meanwhile, have made a £2.6million move for Hammarby winger Sebastian Tounekti.

But the Swedish club are asking for double that fee for the 23-year-old Tunisia cap.

Celtic, finalising deals for Michel-Ange Balikwisha and Marcelo Saracchi, are chasing several targets after their Champions League exit.

But there are also likely to be further exits before the window shuts - with Birmingham City keen on South Korean winger Yang Hyun-jun.

Tounekti has impressed for Swedish title chasers Hammarby and has recently been watched by Hoops recruitment chief Paul Tisdale.

Tounekti only joined Hammarby for £1m this year but the Swedes are willing to sell him on - for the right price.

Antwerp star Balikwisha underwent a medical in London yesterday and is expected to complete a £4.5m deal in the next 24 hours.

Uruguayan left-back Sarrachi, 27, will join on loan from Boca Juniors as back-up for Kieran Tierney.

Yang could head south to Birmingham if Celtic get two wingers in, with Norwich also long-term admirers of the South Korean.

There is loan interest in Irish striker Johnny Kenny from across Britain, while summer signing Hayato Inamura will be farmed out.

Some of the players we're linked with are killing me man..

If we had Bowie playing last night I think he fires us through. He sticks away the Forrest chance. He gets us up the park..

If we get rid of Idah, I'd be seriously tempted to get him in. If we can get a higher calibre player in or a LTB then great. We need a top right winger that has explosive pace and ball carrying ability and a striker who can bang them in..

Should've been done * ages ago..
