Literally look at the squad depth compared to fit for purpose

We have one right back and one left back who can’t even play 90 minutes. One first choice centre back a plethora of mediocre centre midfielders but no combination that is actually effective due to the lack of running power, someone that can tackle,and can cover the limitations of others. No wingers that should start and no strikers that should start.

So out of a squad of 25 or so outfield players we probably have 6 actually at the necessary level now to be a week in, week out Celtic starter and 2 of those are long term injured.

 

That’s simply embarrassing where else have you seen players actually come out and say we need to sign more players?

every player on that pitch man for man is “better quality” than their counterparts on the Kazakh side.

Too little too late from Cal. He'd be better off kicking the * of some of his team-mates to get them motivated.

 

Big for a winger that doesn't score goals or get many assists. Honestly I'd be fine if we were getting another quality winger in on top of this but nothing tells me he's better than Yang or Forrest.

 

Hed be better using his kicks to put the ball forward instead of to scales. Hes part of the problem.

Exactly. Think how many other chances we would create if he never spent 99% of the game pointing and passing back.

 

We don’t need additions to beat that level of opponent tho bud. It’s okay as fans to say we want and need transfers. Absolute cop out for McGregor to come out and say we needed additions to beat them

We don't need additions to compete in the league, 2 domestic cups and Europe? Stick with Forrest (who cant play 90mins) and Yang who is utter *.

Nobody gonna get injuries, suspenions or lose form over the next 50 games or so?

I think Kairat are a better team than most SPFL sides. We are a victim of our own league.

im saying the squad we fielded against a * team like Almaty absolutely has enough to beat them. Absolutely no excuses for not beating them.

we need players. 100%. But the squad we have should be more than able to beat them, and for that. That’s on the current players.

 

Or we just need our current multi million £ players to play to their ability and beat a team we should be beating every day of the week?

They were very well organised. Far more organised and fitter looking than anything we face domestically outwith the huns. Our front 3 did not have enough cutting edge to create much against them. Unsurprisingly.
