One of the worst rangers sides we could hope to face but my faith in this celtic team now to deliver in big matches has been waning for a while and after last night is all but lost.

There’s apparently a train museum somewhere near Naples that I’d want to visit…sounds quite cool.

It's been a while, up there with the 2-1 ET cup semi final loss to the huns in 2022 for me. At least I was confident we'd win the league and get a double, which from where we were 12 months prior was unimaginable. This just leaves me afraid we get embaressed in the EL like in 20-21 and 21-22.

Can’t see us scoring to be fair - couldn’t do it over 210 minutes against a diddy team from Kazakhstan.

    Our forward line is rotten.

Normally if I have my son and it clashes with a Glasgow derby I try and work the match in.

    Not this Sunday.

    Kasper

    Tierney
    Murray
    CCV
    Donovan

    McGregor
    Engels
    Hatate

    Nygren
    Maeda
    Balikwisha

That's what I think we will see. Genuinely could be names out of a hat to see who plays where up front

    Minus 4 each

Could do with this game at the weekend like a hole in the head. Rangers will win a game at some point, and a good chance it will be this weekend due to our underperforming match winners. Its a bit of a free hit (i know) so i would like to freshen the starting 11 up, and maybe give a few players a kick up the *!!

    Schmeichel

    Donavan
    Pusey

    Tierney

    Nygren

We can say all the names we want.

guaranteed Rodgers line up for Sunday.

    Schmeichel

    Ralston
    CCV
    Scales
    Tierney

    McGregor
    Hatate
    Nygren or (Engels)

    Yang
    Idah
    Maeda.

the literal only possibility of a change is Rodgers changes CCV for Murray and Yang for Forrest.

Don’t expect a single * bit of imagination from our man in charge.

    Donovan CCV Scales KT
    McGregor
    Nygren Hatate
    Maeda Yamada Balikwisha

    * even knows how to set us up just now, just hope we turn and win comfortably. I’d drop McGregor but I know that wont happen.

Not being overly optimistic about anything at the moment. After last night's * show and what that would have taken out the players....if we sign anyone between now and Sunday how many do you think will start?

This for me too. You normally think right how does this get sorted but I genuinely have no idea who you would pick.

Maeda, Idah, Yang, Forrest, Kenny and Shin, they are our forward options and right now they are all different variants of bad, from inconsistent and can’t be trusted to just shouldn’t be there now.

Behind that we have 6 centre midfielders and not one of them can tackle. We don’t really have a combination that works.

At the back I would genuinely be tempted to throw Donovan in over Ralston. Can Tierney even play without breaking down on Sunday after last night? CCV will be fit enough? Can we really watch Scales dally on the ball at Ibrox and put in a horror show?

Said it weeks ago the only thing I can think off is we go more narrow in the old Leipzig 4-2-2-2. We don’t have the players for that really either but I would drop one of the front 3 and make it more a central two particularly against that Rangers backline. I don’t rate Kenny at all but would be tempted to put him in with someone else upfront and tell them just to hound them.

Flood the middle of the park by bringing in an Engles or Bernardo to play alongside McGregor. Play Hatate and Nygren as Attacking midfielders left and right.

Tell the full backs to stay touchline wide, they are your width and we defend through a high press from the front 6 two full backs, two attacking mids, two strikers and with a deeper 4 of the two sitting midfielders and centre backs.

Shouldn’t be in this mess but we are and need to try something different.

If we go Maeda-Yamada-Nygren i can see us winning this. But we wont.

    Two negatives make a positive…

Idah won’t create his own chances & Maeda needs someone to pass to when one on one :giggle1:

It sums us up right now that we are likely going to lose to a Huns team who can’t buy a win domestically and have had their worst start to the season for 35 years I believe.

We have none of the necessary requirements needed to win on Sunday. No fight, no aggression, zero quality. We managed to develop a mental block against them last season which could well carry on given we’ve regressed as much as they have.

If there was ever a time to be pragmatic given the lack of quality, injuries and fatigue then it’s now.

You are right it will but they’re really already off the hook. Nothing is going to change unless * gets nasty and the season ticket holders don’t have it in them. Why not ruin the huns weekend.

You make those 3 sound like match winners, which they most definetely arent.

No i don't think that front 3 is good enough actually I just want to avoid Yang and Forrest at any cost.
