Celtic 25/26 Summer transfer window: Stage: Nicholson firing up the Fax Machine

I dunno, i think it still has time to better 2018 summer window where are permanent signings were Bain, Eddy, Molumbo and Izzy. Benkovic came in on loan to make it slightly better but that's it. We also lost Armstrong and Dembele. We were down our best striker, Griffiths was unfit and the only striker brought it was one who was already here. Armstrong had been good the past two seasons and wasn't replaced either.

 

The fact we’re having to go back 32 years to try and find one, that still might not be worse, should say it all really.

 

Can you imagine if the Huns managed to luck their way through the CL qualifiers and got the millions that come with it? They would immediately invest that money in their team and buy some quality players and we could find ourselves struggling for years to catch up. That scenario would be a fecking nightmare but, if our board don't wake up and smell the fecking coffee, it could possibly happen

100% mate, thankfully probably not gonna happen but they would have 20mil spent within in a few days to try kick on. That doesn't guarantee success but trying is better than doing * all.

 

We had plenty in the bank then too, whether it was £70m then and £100m now, that's still an absolute * tonne. I suppose the only thing that could make 2018 less * is that we still had a capable forward line with Forrest, Eddy and Sinclair and a capable midfield without those lost (it still wasn't great). We still went out of the Champions league though.

I think both are worse than the Covid season, we didn't sell anybody, Elynouassi was brought back who'd scored plenty the previous season, Turnbull came in, another striker was added, Duffy and Laxalt didn't look bad signings at the time. I think Duffy just was a bad time for him. The keeper situation was guff but the club did give the manager £5m to buy one.

 

People keep on saying that but I'm not sure they would. They'd probably sell less players, such as hold on to Raskin and Diamonde for another season (I expect both to be gone by January). Also look back to 22, they got to a Europa league final (similar money to CL), sold Aribo and Bassey for £25, barely spent and then they qualified for CL and brought in no extra players.

They have a squad of 32 senior players, there isn't room to sign anybody.

Too late, the horse has bolted. They think our fans are daft (some of them are as they still back the board) and any signings made now is only to appease the fans but I really think the feckers have pushed us over the edge now

Huns signing miovski is big intentions from them , he’s a better player than dessers and igamane and being honest he walks into our starting 11 and we are being linked with projects that may or may not improve our “squad” , but realistically we need to improve our 11
