They did ones even were decent squad players till rodgers arrived players like haksabanovic
Iwata were deemed good squad players he comes along and destroys their value aswell its this epl glaukits glasses that he has on he think all signings should be from top five league and especially English premiership he’s no the right man for a club like Celtic he wants top class facilties … then wants the players that are out our bracket

But the football was enjoyable to watch i would of preferred to get beat 4-3 in a exciting game of football rather than the snoozefest we are currently getting .

Ange signing are 100% a improvement in Rodgers and gained celtic a healthy profit if sold

The board are mainly to blame for us being out of the CL. But Rodgers played his part.
Why he insists on playing Nygren in midfield when we have cover there is beyond me.

I can only think that as he's almost certain to be looking for a better job next season, that's affecting his judgement.

What's likely to see him get the best offers, a good run in the Europa, or a few scuddings in the CL?

Never mind out his price bracket he cant attract them . Even ex players like edouard as much as he is lazy he could still do a job for us but theres no way he would play for Rodgers

Just to highlight the need for a ball winner in midfield even more, these are the duel stats from last night:
    Hatate won 3/12
    Nygren won 6/19
McGregor was only involved in 4 and won two of them

The lineup was wrong. And we should have done more.

But I just can't escape the fact that if you took away any managers best attackers, whilst also not replacing them, whilst also not adding quality on top of that, all the while the same manager is highlighting these issues publicly, those are the kind of results you will get. Particularly against a side who are playing their biggest game in their history.

If we go away to ANY SPL ground this season with that same attack and with players like Tierney etc not firing then I won't be comfortable in getting 3 points.

I also think the noise and confusion is visibly impacting the players. They looked nervous last night and last week.

It's just a mess. He needs to do more over both legs with what he has. It was actually interesting that even the commentators last night who clearly knew * all about celtic beforehand, the main thing they noticed and could focus in on was the slow and passive play.

I would still give him a new contract. I'm still a fan of him. But I think he's a defeated man and its beginning to show out on the pitch.

I’d rather have made the knockouts of the CL like last year than getting absolutely pumped like we did under Ange.

McGregor never won a header I don’t think either last night, and was second to absolutely everything. It was a shocking captains performance, as was the one last week. He has definitely lost half a yard. I’d have hooked him last night. He was jogging about offering nothing.

The squad likely needs a rebuild now. Theres a question mark over the future of a whole host of players and losing out on champions league will probably prompt a few of the guys that have been here a while to look to move on.

Fortunately rangers havent taken advantage and we look like we could still win the league dropping lots of points.

But we should prepare for some major surgery on the team. Those performances against a team of that calibre in a game of that magnitide demands significant changes i think.

Theirs an argument for a forward thinking manager who’s happy to change philosophy when sees fit regarding which fixture and player they are up against a modern day Martin O’Neill shall we say who embraces all the new managerial stuff

A forward thinking manager working under a backwards thinking board. Still won’t work.

Ange's results in Europe though were poor, both seasons. We were lucky to get 2 points in the CL, and in EL the season before. I found it actually embarrassing at times, the CL season poorness gets overlooked because the huns broke the record for worst team in CL history.

It is when it's Yang and Forrest feeding the bullets. We all know Maeda is not the best finisher, he had one guilt edged chance in 210 minutes and another half chance. Idah had zero chances in his 80 odd minutes. Forrest and Yang are not going to create the chances and ask the question at this level. We do not have the quality up top. Our manager believes this to be the case and has been crying out for reinforcements since last January - he didn't get them with 80m in the bank,

Our managers have very limited control on who they sign or don't sign. Various managers have said that. How much do you think Ange wanted Jenz, Abildgard, Haksabanovic, Hart, McCarthy, MOR, Kobayashi, Bernabei, GG, JJ, Oh? The only signings I think he played an active role in were Mooy, Kyogo, Iwata, Maeda and Hatate. We actually only signed MOR because his no 1 target Riley McGree turned us down for Middlesborough.

You are engaging in a lot of revisionism here.

Tbh I think he's done here. I agree with it too.

We've given him money and he's wasted it on players like Idah and Engles.

His football because boring the longer he's at a place.

He'll want to move on as the board have hung him out to dry.

I'd go for Knutsen or Muscat tbh.

The real problem at the club is Desmond, the board and Lawwell. Absolute dinosaurs that refuse to modernise the club and allow it to be the best version that it can be.

They're all about the money. Balance sheet fc.

They can go * themselves and I hope they get it at every game they dare show their face to.

    *.
