    Seen a tweet there is some rule which meant one his bookings essentially didn't count. Something to do with missing a round or something no sure tbh but he was able to play

    I know it's probably a bit soon for everyone and we're all trying to unpack the shitshow we've watched.

    I am raging that we didn't qualify, though part of me knows that the only advantage was financial - I think, had we went into the CL, we'd have been absolutely hammered in several games, and potentially finish with zero points.

    The Europa league is closer to our level, and while we're still * right now, if we make some decent signings then I would back us to do decent. We should at the very least look to win a knockout tie, with a realistic goal of the quarter finals minimum (unless we get a tough, tough draw).

    It's an opportunity to gain a bit of confidence back in Europe and build on our coefficient. With the way the tournament has changed and no drop-downs, the teams projected to be in it look very manageable.

    See with last night's disappointment I would usually have some consolation in entering the Europa - closer to our level, more competitive, etc. But this squad right now? Do we even make it out the league phase? Ugh

    That's the annoying thing for me. I said it before the playoff. If we had any ambition, we'd get most of our business done before last night and then regardless of whether we went through or not, could feel relatively positive that we could have a right good go at the europa.

    Bit again the board have this arrogant approach that'd almost like UCL or bust. When in reality, a deep run into the europa would do the Club some good at this point. We've been starved of European success for so long.

    But we aren't gonna have that.

    Given the state we're in atm we should be prioritising domestic matters, the league in particular, and that means keeping our better players for the Sunday games. Give the fringe players a chance in the EL, we're gonna do f**k all anyway so why risk injuries and fatigue to our most important guys.

    I know we are all * off but looking at the teams in the EL we should be aiming for a top 8 finish. Rodgers & the players owe us big time for that dreadful play off tie. I believe Rodgers will want to make a mark here in his final season & will want to have a right good go in this competition. We are miles off being a CL team atm so let's have a good run in the Europa if the Huns can do it then why can't we?
