Sucked every single bit of good feeling out the club. The anger from the fans at the game last week was evident, and you have to be naive not to think it doesn’t transcend on to the players. This shitshow has all been self inflicted, and the board are 100% to blame.

Celtic's board shares fans' frustration over the "less than anticipated activity in the recent transfer window", says chairman Peter Lawwell

The above is from February ... last year.

This was all so avoidable if of course we wanted to avoid it.

This board is throwing away pounds in the pursuit of pennies... There's no doubt whatsoever they are a "capable" outfit in the area of maintaining a company in a difficult and hostile environment, but they completely lack the capacity to grow it in an effective manner. We could and SHOULD be a very persistent and impactful cl team by now. We've almost £100m in the bank and s team without a single recognised and consistent striker on the books - the nearest, Maeda, is very much a winger who can also attack, and appears to be losing the spirit to do even that at the moment! Our starting lineup today was essentially a 4-6-0!

It seems ridiculous to feel hard done by given how much we've won, how much we dominate domestically and what we already have at our disposal, but we absolutely do deserve BETTER... We do deserve genuine reinvestment of the money we spend and help generate. We deserve leaders who actually lead with direction, purpose and intent and not just money-gougers! We deserve the pursuit of our BEST potential and not settling for the minimum acceptable outcome...

People are spending MASSIVE percentages of their income on a club they love, and passionately support their entire lives... It's not just a cash investment to them, and it's appalling to us all to watch this mismanagement continue unchecked...

    * me! The 210 mins of cl "football" we witnessed in the last week was a humbling, embarrassing, shameful disgrace... A Hun mate of mine actually texted and slagged us this evening... We were so * * that they felt better about themselves than us! That's how low this board has dropped us...

    Im gonna say it if no one else will;

Are we seriously not spending this window due to the financial commitment of the bhoys club victims? Are the board seriously hampering squad development to cover a wholly separate financial responsibility?

Most have been settled, 4 left, cap of £2m compensation per case from the type of court case it is I think. For the last 4. 24 of 28 was about that all in. Which is * disgusting to my mind and when it’s all cases settled, I want us to do far far more than we’ve been told liable for.

So it’s not that but if it was £80m stockpiled for them, I’d be happier.

They aren’t getting anywhere near what they should, money isn’t being spent for the team either. They just like the bank balance

There’s no financial commitment. Or moral commitment.

As much as they are absolutely woeful at running a footballing operation, that’s not the worst of their failures and discretions. Not by a long shot.

They only acknowledged the clear and obvious link between Celtic and the boys club when it became financially perilous to them. Not one second before it.

Normal football clubs and their boards with morals set up compensation funds and free professional counselling years ago.

Our football club rejected responsibility until the last second, despite overwhelming evidence suggesting the contrary.

Sickening stuff, but unfortunately not surprising.

Aw jesus I read that at first as we have no moral obligation for them and clicked on paragraph 3 we have the same thoughts on it.

That was a spike of rage at first haha.

Spot on mate. More than anything, more than backing for managers, the way they get the vitriol from fans about because football issues.

They can * off for that

No. Most cases have been settled and we’ll likely have corporate liability insurance.

    The transfer failure is incompetence.

Mental to me that the general thing that was aimed at him was greedy *.

He left into the background, couldn’t hack that, so came back as chairman. On an absolute fraction of what he was on.

The year it was just Nicholson, no Lawwell? Noticeably different.

Since he’s came back as Chairman? Depressingly similar to what was said about him for years.

We were wrong about money and greed, * ego is * uncontrollable

Think the manager and players have to take a lot of the criticism too. They couldn’t score in 3.5 hrs against a terrible team. We had £25m worth of signings on the bench too ffs.

They had a depleted squad tonight as well. Star player suspended. Big target man striker who’s vital to the game plan? Injured the morning of or day before the game. Experienced keeper, leader in the squad with a back up keeper barely played any pro football? Well he was MotM probably.

Kairat had a more depleted squad than us
