Away you go with this "Plan B" stuff. Rodgers doesn't even have a squad that he can utilise his plan A with. How on earth can you formalise an efficient plan B when you don't even meet the minimum requirements in terms of players for plan A.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Don’t disagree at all with that.

Reality is deal was pushed through, totally against transfer policy for a long time prior - so assume Rodgers pushed for it at that cost and it’s a * joke. He’s AWFUL.

I was a pretty vocal critic of Kyogo and didn’t see the huge problem with selling him when we did, even less so that he was makeweight for Jota. The glaring issue is, fast forward 8 months and almost an entire summer window and he hasn’t been replaced.

Pretty much rinse and repeat with Kuhn. Not many could argue £20m for him isn’t a good bit of business, but only if they’re going to at least attempt to replace him. They haven’t though, 2 months after selling him and the consequence of that is tonight.

Had we replaced both players properly, and still failed tonight then that for me is solely on the manager. We didn’t though, we essentially replaced them with 2 players who would’ve struggled to get on the bench last season and that is pretty much solely on the shoulders of the board.

Rodgers definitely wanted him, I’ve no doubt about that. He is awful also, I agree there too.

Why ? It did last year.

Idah, Engels and Trusty keep getting used to bash Rodgers he never set those prices in fact our board dicking about with the deals leaving it so late drove prices up if the rumours are to be believed. The three of those mentioned also played large parts in our success last season.

Questionable Rodgers recruitment didn't begin tonight it has been the major red flag over his whole managerial career but if the board don't trust him to spend money then he should have been sacked at the end of last season

Where's the confidence in this team? Used to be playing for Celtic gave you that. What's changed?

Plenty of players in that team tonight, not lot of confidence but plenty of excuses.

Used to be playing for Celtic elevated and freed a player to be better. Now it's a burden and every player has to be a multimillion pound player? Can we not just have good coaching, good fitness, good motivation and good management combined with better wages and see how that works out?

One doesn't need to be a FM-playing seasoned veteran to see with even the most cataract-inflicted eyeballs that the EXACT same set up and tactics that woefully failed last week AT HOME against this mob wasn't going to work this week.

And certainly not after watching the same slow, pedestrian pish after even the first 10mins, hoping it would have the desired penetrating impactful might of a 0.5inch micropenis ramming into Katie Price's canyon *.

That’s your opinion but we had more than enough to win tonight and the players let him down.

The board are *, but it’s an unacceptable managerial performance over these two games. No two ways about it.

The squad is * but it’s still vastly superior to Kairat’s.

He has us playing eye bleeding football, just like he did towards the latter stages of his first spell. The last 3 months or so of last season were dire and nothing has improved.

Yes we should have signed more, and better, players. But we’re now seeing regression in the likes of CCV, Hatate, McGregor, Maeda etc.

I have no doubt in my mind that we’d have won comfortably with Ange in charge.

Strikers have been useless since his return with Kyogo’s form falling off a cliff and Idah worse than a man down. The centre backs are * diabolical on the ball but see it more than anyone else.

His third season back. Our results and performances against the huns are getting worse with every year. He’s been pumped out of two cups in the last two seasons against dross teams. Now out of the CL against a team almost nobody had heard of until 2 weeks ago.

    * scunnered. Massive changes are needed throughout the entire club. * the board. * Rodgers. * the squad. Whole thing needs ripped up.

Some of the team ranked higher than Kariat

    L. red imps & Larne are over 150 places higher

While Shamrock Rovers are over 200 places higher. Liam Scales would probably have been their best player.

    Absolutely.

    And did they? No.

So.......when a manager sees that the players arent doing the job, and the set up/instructions that HE gave them before the match aren't working, then it's on him to either change it or take his fair share of the blame.

And see if he doesnt have the players at his disposal to play the way that he wants, then change the * system to suit the personel he HAS.

Think this tweet hits the nail on the head.

First season it was just Ange's team minus Jota and Starfelt. Second season it was largely the same minus Hart, Kyogo and O'Riley.

We still have a lot of players from Ange's time starting. CCV, Ralston, Hatate, Maeda, Jota, Johnston, even Scales would still be Ange, even if Rodgers developed him, and McGregor was a mainstay in Ange's teams too.

That's 6 players that regularly started under Ange, and obviously Ralston played plenty of gametime too.

No we didn't, Scales was just to * to get up the pitch.

Donovan came on and played at right back and Maeda continued to stay wide left so no * told them we were playing a back 3.

We played 210 minutes of a game we had to win with 1 striker. * me would it have killed him in the last 15 mins of et to have thrown on an extra striker?

Surely someone like Kenny's energy would have tested that defence. Also would have helped that hes a penalty taker and Nygren clearly isn't.

Also considering they won last tie on pens scoring 5 out of 5 and we can barely find a consistent penalty taker and we have a 38 year old GK who's not saved 1 penalty in his last 2 shootouts, we should have gone all out in last 15 mins to get the goal.

Best draw we could have hoped for.
We should have had a good enough squad to beat Kairat over two legs.
220 minutes + played and we couldn't score a single goal against them, and missed three penalties.
Blame the Board all you want, and they are not blameless by any means.
But that is a sackable offence for a Celtic manager imo

Before Donovan came on we were 3 at the back.

It's Kairat. They spent 450k and were without their £2,3 million star player and 1st choice goalie.

Okay if it's a team like Salzberg, Basel or Copenhagen then we can blame the board but not Almaty

I also have no doubt that we wouldn’t have won that game with Ange. We got absolutely done multiple times under Ange.
