I knew we were lacking. I knew we were short of last season. But, fecking *, I never ever saw us failing tonight. Not once.

CCV was so *. He never plays a forward pass thats not one of his attribute. But slowing down the game on every opportunity was so frustrating. Ralston was also poor. Gave the ball away so often and was another who was feared of going forward. Nygren was the worst of the midfielders. Forrest was non existent the whole time he was on the pitch.

This one is on Brendan. We all knew we need to put in a good performance and take a lead into this game. Brendan and the players * that up. His style of safe passing is also becoming an eyesore.

 

I think we can all clearly see that we missed a finisher of Kyogo’s ability there. I like Maeda as a player but he missed two possible goals across the two legs. You can’t expect to sell your best striker and 20 goals a season Right forward and not replace them with equal quality and EXPECT to coast thru a tie. That’s exactly what I said to my daughter after that shambolic performance tonight. How many of that team would you say really tried, 4 or 5 maybe? Something is not right and it really feels like the Covid season all over again.

Im not convinced they are really any better than a team like Ross County, we've basically bottled attacking a team and playing freely against players who were actually really * and incompetent.

 

For me if we operated like a proper football team we would have sold Maeda around when we sold Kuhn but had 4 or 5 players ready to come in before this qualifier.

Yeah it’s a gamble but as a player trading club you need to sell your players at peak value especially when one is clearly based on an anomaly of form that had already started to return to the norm at the end of last season.

It’s how we should build and get better you lose 1 or 2 and then invest in improving 4-6 positions in the first team squad.

There are so many there the now who are no better than squad fillers and such a void of any real quality players. It’s far too late now to do anything about it and it’s going to be a hellish long pedestrian season.
